Giants and Packers

Are Alex Smith and Flacco that much better than Matt Moore....serious question.

Let us know who wins it all in a few weeks.

I'll quote you on that. Denver beat Steelers with defense, 49ers beat Saints with defense, Giants beat ATL with defense, Ravens Hou with defense now to face brady and murder them AGAIN with defense

Giants beating number 1 qb with defense

Flacco hell no Alex Smith debatable but not elite

Take a look at the recent past Super Bowl winners.

Patriots have one of the worst defenses in the league. They beat Denver because Denver's QB is not a QB.

Denver beat Pittsburgh in overtime. Pittsburgh's franchise QB at 60%. Mendenhall down...and Ryan Clark probably tackles DT in overtime if he's playing.

But feel free to keep using that 1% rule.

Still doesnt discount the fact that the last few Superbowl winners have had a top 7 QB on their team. (Rodgers, Brees, P. Manning, E. Manning, Brady, Roethisberger)

First off you wont find me arguing that you need a solid QB to win a super bowl. The guys you mentioned, well they also had pretty good D's, they wouldnt have the won the super bowl without those D's or the QB's, they needed them both.

Manning D stepped up in playoffs bigtime the year they won when Bob Sanders came back. Saints had a ton of take aways for a D the year they won. Eli won his with a very stout D, Big Ben had great D's when he was winning and Brady back in the day had a pretty solid D as well.

It's a team game, and while you probably wont win a Super Bowl without a QB when you get deep into the playoffs every QB is pretty good so it comes down to what else do you have. Usually that is D. Even if we found the next Dan Marino there will always be a Montana so D is a big big part of trying to make a strong run.

In the end it is as hard to win a Super Bowl with an average D as it is with an average QB.

No such thing as a serious question when you're drunk or stupid. You sound like one of those people who said Fiedler is better than Brady back in 2002.

Both of those quarterbacks are 2nd tier star quarterbacks. Matt Moore is a backup which is around 10th tier.

Flacco is the most overrated QB in the league. He and Moore are both average.

Eli Manning gets zero credit lol.

He should get credit...he was able advantage of the Packers mistakes. Great game all around by the whole Giants team...even if the refs are trying to give this one to the Pack.

anyone get the feeling that if Green Bay would have challenged their last fumble they would have over turned it?
