anyone questioning gerrards stats should have a look at them! then we'll see who's ignorant!!! this guy helped virginia tech land vick, because the coach told mike that he would be ridin' the pine behind gerrard:horsey: ..... not that vick would've signed at ECU, but it sure eliminated the option!!! and last time i checked vick was on heck of a quarterback!.... as to the origin, my uncle said he read on miami herald website message ctr.

still hatin' wanny:p4e:

Just found where you uncle read it. It is dated July 20th and was around the time John Clayton said Jacksonville could be interested in Gordon. While the original poster says Gordon for Gerrard, he supplies no sources. Also, I haven't heard one thing about this since it was posted over there 12 days ago.

I think this is actually an even trade. We have many running backs. I mean with Brown and Williams and either Mooris or Minor we have enough backs not to mention what kay jay harris does. Gordon was hurt all last year and seems to hesitate before hitting the whole. Gerrard reminds me alot of Leftwich. They play together and both arent extremely athletic but have strong arms. This would at least give reason to not hang on to Rosenfels and we would be able to unload Feeley next year. Then you could still draft a qb because all your ultimately losing is the third round pick we gave up to get gordon in the first place. Then next years qbs would be which ever one we pick garrard and frerrote. Not bad

There always seems to be this large contingency of football fans who think the next pro bowl player is hidden on someone elses roster. So everytime any obscure player is mentioned, they start getting lathered up. These same players are usually backups for a reason. There are very few miracles out there. If they can not see the field on their team, chances are they won't see it on ours either. Seems like we just went through a backup QB from Jacksonville experience. I would think we learned something.

Lets not take another qb from the Jags ever again.................

Dang, i fell for it.....This is the same guy that started the thread about Lamar Gordon that I see was moved to the smack forum.....I think I see a pattern here....
Yeah it's "Anyone But Feeley Syndrome". Garrard has like a 69. something QB rating. compared to Feeley's 67. something. I don't know that the 2 points would be much of an upgrade. But that's just me.

Kind of like Kurt Warner
or
Marc Bulger

What exactly has he done to be good?

He is better than AJ, and he is moble. We have to move one or more of the RBs anyway, so I say it is a good deal.

This was just in the Florida Times Union (Jacksonville Newspaper) yesterday. They were profiling all the players. And this what they had to say about Gerrard.

" expected to depart in a trade in the offseason before unexpectedly signing a contract extension with the Jaguars to remain the backup."

This guy wants to remain a career backup.

Didn't we get a Jaguar backup before and he turned out to be crap.

Coming from an AJ basher, I'm sure you think every QB out there is better than AJ. Yep, Garrad's 4td's and 3 int's are something to drool over.
