"Great 3 Horse Race in the AFC East" - Sean Salisbury

Let the games begin. That will put all the arguing to rest. Everyone is entitled to thier opinions and their analyses.
In truth no one formulates an "objective" opinion without some degree of bias and wishful thinking.

This is true.

Pats, Jets, Bills of course..

Why is everyone all about the Bills? Are their skills positions any better than ours? I dont think so.. Actually, we are pretty much identical with them.. Great Ds, Good offensive skills positions, and Question Marks at OL and QB.. So why are they mentioning the Bills in the playoff race but not the Phins?

Because they did well last season and we stunk the joint out. If Losman doesn't pan out and their O-line is filled with holes, then it will be the reverse next year. I wouldn't worry too much about it, we haven't seen a single game yet.

I don't think that we are the guaranteed last place team in our division. Salisbury has a real hard on for Ricky Williams so he is gonna sink the Phins. The Patriots are the automatic bid and the Jets do look dangerous. However, I think we can surprise. As for the Bills, as has been forementioned they do have a young unproven QB (a lot like us) and squabbling at RB. We shall see but I am optimisitic.

I stated earlier that it could change by the end of the season bt until your team has proven anything , why is it far fetched to think that the other 3 can be the one's to fight for the playoff spot. I realize that if the chargers can go from last to div. champs so can the fins. However, they were not rebuilding and didn't have anew system. They also have the best rb and TE in the league and a qb who's better than anyone on your team.

Until then, all I'm trying to do is see the logic behind the article. None of you have amde legit reasons other than what's on paper to make an argument.

Justa, I said in my FIRST POST in this thread that the reason the Bills are included in an assessment of a "3-way race" is because of their turnaround and near playoff appearance. I didn't dispute that they SHOULD be considered as contending for the AFCE. My point concerned all the "poo-poo-ing" I'm hearing from all these Bills fans on here about Miami being able to make such a turnaround as Buff experienced last year.

Ya.. Id say our QBs are a bit more proven.

Wait a minute, you tell us Moulds hasn't made an impact in 2 years even though he's been better than you wr and then you bring up Gus' nos. from years ago. You're contadicting yourself here. Gus also hasn't proven anything w/ your current players. He wasn't playing w/ your players when he made those nos. you just brought up. I want facts w/ the current team he is playing with, not nos. from years ago with a different set of players. Can he do just as well? Sure but until he proves that all you did was pull up a bunch of nothing.
Example, Jeff Garcia was a probowler w/ the 9ers. Couldn't do squat w/ the browns could he?

Holcomb has doone more than any of your qb';s in recent times. If you think he's not much I'll use the same excuse you used for AJ,(In an unstable offense). But just a year before he threw for 400+ in a playoff game. Any of your qb's doen that? NO!

Gus is playing in the same system, with same O Coach. And if Holcombe were starting, I would understand ESPN's argument better.. but not with Losman.

and nobody is saying that, however every logical fan isn't gonna bet their life on the fins to make playoffs either. That's all I'm saying.

It doesn't matter. He doesn't have Moss does he. Are you gonna bet $100 w/ me that Drew bledsoe is not gonna take the Cowboys to the sb because even though he is reunited w/ Parcells? They did make the sb together didn't they? How did testaverde do when he reunited w/ Parcells?

Remember this came from Sean Salisbury. if this guy knew half as much as he thinks he does NFL teams would be offering him a job. him and collinsworth are two of the most annoying anylists IMO.

that's their opinion but it's not a guarantee. Sheez. They are making a educated prediction. What's wrong with not picking last years 2nd worst team that's on rebuilding mode?
