Guess what? Hey it's a TEBOW thread!!!!

Would you accept a Trade for Tebow to be MIAMI QB?

Just another example how the pom-pom waving blind "dolfans", who are fans of dolls, overrate the team

First, during the Manning sweepstakes all they talked about was how dreadful the Broncos roster is and how much more talent the Dolphins have (please)

then, they will all say how Tebow cant bring miami to the playoffs though he was able to bring the broncos to the playoffs, and he was able to do something the pathetic Dolphins franchise has been unable to do in over a decade - win a playoff game

you cant have it both ways

Manning to Broncos barring "unexpected snag"- Tebow a possibility for Miami

Posted by Evan Silva on March 19, 2012, 12:03 PM EDT

ESPN’s Adam Schefter and Chris Mortensen are reporting that free agent quarterback Peyton Manning has told his agent, Tom Condon, to open contract negotiations with the Denver Broncos.

And barring an “unexpected snag” in contract talks, Schefter and Mort are reporting that Manning will become the next quarterback of the Broncos.

The Broncos will try to trade Tim Tebow.

Per Schefter, Manning phoned Broncos V.P. of Football Operations John Elway on Monday morning to inform Elway he is “looking forward” to playing in Denver.

The fallout will be felt across the league. Free agent Alex Smith remains in limbo, and the 49ers may have to do some apologizing to bring him back in the fold. The Dolphins may whiff on yet another quarterback target.
Stay tuned for plenty more.

The hall of fame QB who was on the practice field watching the QB he inherited... If you couldnt watch those games and realize that Praters 60 yard field goals, and his defense were the reason those games were close, or even won... and not Tebow being unable to score... let alone complete passes, than you are truly lost in tebowmani.

Yep, Im in Tebowmania admittedly. YOU make good points. So if Carpenter can make 60 yarders, and our defense is as good as Denvers, then why werent WE in the playoffs??
Do you think Alex Smith will lead us? Moore will lead us-with the 60 yarders and defense you mentioned-to a playoff victory?

I don't think Stephen Ross cares what type of offense Tebow runs.

Sure- he can run a spread but not a West coast offense. Gotcha

to run the west coast offense you need a qb that can take 3-5 steps and get the ball out of his hands QUICKLY! it tim tebows release takes a half hr! the spread offense is the easiest offense in football to run, blaine gabbert was slinging it in the spread at missouri but when he got to jax and ran a pro -style offense he looked lost! tim tebow's completion % was 46% last year!

Manning decision to Denver still effects Dolphins

Several media outlets are reporting that Peyton Manning has picked the Denver Broncos as his new team and is in negotiations with the team to become the quarterback. That has created a domino effect that reaches the Dolphins.

Because Manning did not pick the San Francisco 49'ers, it seems to open up the possibility of a return to San Francisco for Alex Smith. And that would mean the player who visited the Dolphins on Sunday would be out of the running to continue his career in Miami.

This is not a 100 percent certainty as, frankly, Smith still is a free agent and has the right to negotiate with any team he wishes. But, as I reported this morning, Smith had told various NFL sources and had let the Dolphins know his first choice was to return to the Niners if Manning didn't pick that team.

We're not out of the wood yet, however.

As Manning is going to Denver, barring a snag in contract talks, that effectively ends Tim Tebow's time with that team. And, of course, that makes the Dolphins a possible landing spot for him.

Tebow, a University of Florida alumnus, has a huge following in South Florida. He did lead the Broncos to the playoffs and even a playoff victory over Pittsburgh. And he would definitely sell tickets for the Dolphins.

My guess is the football side of the organization would not be thrilled with the idea of Tebow because he is definitely not a classic West Coast offense quarterback. But ownership has recently been in charge of some football decision in Miami so I cannot discount it until, well, the Dolphins either say it isn't a possibility or show it isn't one.

Beyond that, where does this leave the Dolphins?

More and more it is looking like this team is going to be drafting a quarterback and rolling into training camp with Matt Moore as the presumed starter.

I am terrified right now that Miami will bring in Tebow as a quarterback. TERRIFIED.

Jaguars, Dolphins should be at the front of the line for Tebow

Posted by Mike Florio on March 19, 2012, 1:27 PM EDT

After an unexpectedly exciting run as the Broncos’ starter, Tebow time soon will be over in Colorado. The question becomes where it will continue.

With the Broncos reportedly not expecting much for the 2010 first-round pick, who has a contract tied in large part to actually playing in games, the Broncos could pull a reverse Manning, hand picking the next place where Tebow will play. All things being equal, it would be shrewd to send him to the city where’s he’ll be the least likely to prove the Broncos wrong for giving up on him.

Regardless, two teams should be at the front of the line for Tebow. (Do I need to mention them since they’re in the headline?)

In Jacksonville, the tarps would be put in storage until Tebow’s career ends, with Gator fans joining Jaguars fans and filling EverBank Field up like it only is when Florida plays Georgia there. Yeah, they signed Chad Henne last week. So what? This is Tim H. Tebow; he’s a phenomenon. Tebow gets acquired first for business reasons and second for football purposes.
If G.M. Gene Smith doesn’t like it, he can leave. (He may be leaving anyway after the draft, but that’s a rumor to be mongered later.)

This is now owner Shad Khan’s show. While the competitive goal is to win championships, making money remains a key component in the ownership of a team. The Jaguars would make a lot more of it with Tebow.

The same thought process applies in South Florida. Last year, the ridiculous Florida reunion game at SunLife Stadum, which was held in the University of Miami’s stadium and which celebrated the starting quarterback of the visiting team, sold tickets. And that was Tebow’s first start of 2012. If they’d played that game later in the season, the place would have been full of Tebowmaniacs of every size, shape, and rooting interest.

Besides, at a time when a string of coaches and quarterbacks are telling owner Stephen Ross “no thanks,” Tebow cant’ turn down the Dolphins. He goes where the contract goes, and Tebow isn’t wired to gripe.

For that reason, don’t rule out the Patriots, who could trade for him and move him to a new position and cash in from Tebowmania while also being competitive. It’s not like he can make a case for sending Tom Brady to the bench, and Tebow would be reunited with Josh McDaniels, who drafted Tebow two years ago. So Tebow would have to smile and bear it, and play whenever and wherever he gets a chance. (Given Bill Belichick’s fondness for two-way players, Tebow could also play a little linebacker, in theory.)

While the Broncos retain the exclusive ability to do whatever they want with Tebow, we fully expect the league office to work behind the scenes to place Tebow in the city that meshes with the league’s best interests. In New England, they don’t need Tebow in order to sell tickets; in Jacksonville and Miami, they do.

And even though the chase for a championship fuels the passions of the fans, it means nothing unless it can be converted into cold hard cash. That’s why the Jaguars and Dolphins should be salivating over the prospect of bringing Tebowmania to town, permanently.

I think guys like Dansby would like to play with a player like Tebow...

I actually see a lot of upside with Tebow...Lots of room for improvement, but if he can win games with as limited as he already is, just imagine what he can do if he improves..

I think he's worth a late pick to take a chance on.

Let me sum up our FA for this year. We have gone from going after Manning a HOF QB to Tebow in discussions.

I am a Gator Fan and never seen Miami in this predicament. WE have a super bowl defense and we are going to waste that time unless we draft a number 1 QB. Make philbin GM and build thru the draft.
