Gus never given a fair shake to start since Washington?.. WRONG

For argument's sake, Gus may only = Jay Fiedler with a slightly better arm, but again prior to last season Fiedler was 35-18 as a starter. That better arm may be the difference between us being 9-7 or 10-6 and a playoff appearance.

Oh ok, "displaying the truth". Yea ok...........

What on Earth? Why are you getting defensive about this toubourg? Read the article.. See the results.. He failed at his 2nd legit chance to start.. This will be his 3rd.. Thats just the truth.

I'm not sold on any of our Qb's, but I don't think Frerotte will flop if he starts for us. This offensive system is better suited to his abilities...

Valid point... But some here believe he could somehow be "the answer" and is a marked improvement over Fiedler or Feeley.. when historically, this has just not been the case.

I saw Gus play as a Denver Bronco and he played a lot better than anything I have seen from AJ Feeley....including a game in which he set the all-time Bronco record for most yards passing in a single game (Plummer has since beaten Gus' record). I think we are better off with Gus starting than AJ.

I'm not realy familiar with his Bronco days, when was he there and how well did he do?

What I'm saying is that here are 2463262 Feeley vs Gus threads going on, and you're already posting this information in another thread. I honestly cannot see your motivation for discussing this in two places other than a rather lame attempt to discredit Gus.

He's not an improvement over Fiedler, but Fiedler is gone, so it doesn't matter. Fiedler played better than Feeley last year as well, but Fiedler played most of his games under Wanny and went 1-8. Feeley played for a team that was 3-4, but Fiedler's stats were still better overall.

Why? Because noone except for Boik would see it buried on page 9 of the other page.. How is it discrediting if I am simply posting his stats as a starter? I think it deserves discussion if Feeley's struggles are allowed to be poured over ad naseum.

Frerotte's stats: http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/FrerGu00.htm

77 TD's and 66 INT's

Fiedler's stats: http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/FiedJa00.htm

68 TD's and 66 INT's

Feeley's stats: http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/FeelA.00.htm

Garbage, 19 TD's and 21 INT's, who cares?

Frerotte surprisingly is slightly more impressive than Fiedler, but Frerotte has played for mostly bad teams. Miami's talent is head and shoulders above those crappy teams, with the exception of Denver and Minnesota.

Man, you are calling Miami's 2004 offensive team head and shoulder's above the 2000 Denver team, 2002 Cinci team, and 2003 Minni team? ummmmmkay. Might I add, Turner ran a pretty good offense in Washington as well.

Because it's extremely onesided? That's usually how you discredit people.

No, I said with the exception of Denver and Minnesota. Go back and read it. Meaning the current Miami team is better than the Detroit's, Washington's, and Cincy's teams of the years, in which Frerotte played for those teams.

Man, Im sorry I so offended you.. I did not know you were a Frerotte.. Next time I will just make up stuff instead of posting real stats that might offend others..

Your blood relative sounds like a cool guy, and he played pretty good on Monday, but that still doesnt erase his LONG history of mediocrity.

No way.. The 2004 Miami Team was probably the most inept offensive team in the history of the league.. NO RBs, and NO OL.. 2002 Cincy team had both of those things.. I presume the Wash team's did as well Didnt they have Davis? Turner was a terrible HC, but one thing he was good at was building a nice offense on his teams..
