Peace out
Wow. I'm shocked. When I clicked on this I was expecting just a short paragraph saying we should trade all our draft picks for Mike McCoy.

Wallace didn't make (relatively) much last year, he won't want to reduce that $17 million for 2014.
I would just leave that alone, there is plenty of money spend even with it. Also, the way his contract is structured he can be cut (again relatively) pain-free after next year.
I like your thoughts on Tight End. Having a threat out there to compliment Clay would open things up a lot. Also agree that a FA can be signed to fill this role.
Rent - you can still restructure him and keep him whole at $17M. By converting guaranteed salary to a bonus payment, you can spread that $17M over a few years. It's a pretty common tactic.
I understand that financially it makes sense to keep him, but would he start? Probably not. I would rather let a young player with better toughness and instincts play in front of him. I guess he could play special teams..
Keeping M Moore is important this year for insurance , and because RT LIKES HIM. End of story.
Cutting Wheeler is foolish for anyone with any understanding of math. Cut him, and pay the same as if ya don't. I want that deal. lol
Wallace can re-structure IF need be. We would just be moving some of his guaranteed money a year or two, and my have to give him a bit more guaranteed to do so. No matter what he is gonna get his money.
For me, re-sign Clemons, Carroll, and Yeatman (depending on his injury).
Im sorry u don't overpay a backup because RT likes him and guaranteeing more money for Wallace just hurts us down the line and really does nothing for us this year. We have adequate cap room. BY moving that money you create another high dead money contract if you end up having to cut him.
His guaranteed percentage is already among the highest in the league. We are already paying him like he is among the best 5 receivers in the league, lets just let it be and see what kind of year he has.
Are there decent veteran QB's out there that would not make Moore's money.
I think Moore is a great professional and is an excellent backup. I am just looking to free some money up.
Tannehill will be adjusting to a new OC this year. I have to believe that Moore can help him much more than anyone else, and I don't see anyone else out there as well. He is also valuable insurance, and knows our receivers.
IF we need more money, I would look to Patterson and/or a Wallace re-structure before Moore.
