Hayden Fox's Preseason Week Two Assessment

Ummmmm I bet you can't find me smashing those contracts. Other then pointing out Dalton's contract is really only a 2 year deal. As far as Flacco no I don't think I smashed his either. Might have pointed out he is a Superbowl Champ though. Wallace strength are low percentage routes.
I'll take your word for it but I'm still waiting your thoughts on that dropped screen.

Im still waiting for the games to count and Lazor gets Wallace on the move.

All throughout TC when Wallace was healthy and there, him and Tanny had some nice plays that went for nice yardage. Even beat Grimes for a 80 yard score. People need to realize that deep GO routes are not hit as often as some may think, deep crosses and deep posts are easier for both QB and WR, less room for error. When Lazor starts gameplanning for mismatches and Wallace is in the slot on runs a deep cross and we score all the bs about not having cohesion will be put to bed.

I told you terrible play he took his eye off it and started up field before the ball got there. Switch from decaf to refusal wake up.

Well, despite the amount of contempt I have for Mike Sherman's offensive design, I find it really hard to believe that the receiver was supposed to take his route directly into the face of a free safety instead of into a completely open corner of the end zone.

Look, don't get me wrong, I am rooting for Mike Wallace, but when everyone notices that your QB and #1 WR just somehow can't get on the same page, taht's a problem. And that's a very peculiar problem when the team is able to bring in no-name guys like Rishard Matthews, Brandon Gibson, and Damian Williams... and they can all get on the same page with the QB.

If memory serves me correct Wallace had made the turn before ball came out.

A few thoughts FWIW...

1) Tannehills QBR is 117.1 & is completing 75 of his passes,
2) I'm thrilled that Shelby is stepping up
3a) If The meatball were still around no way would ORG be the only undetemined position, 3b) Colledge is here for stability IMO,
4a) Cowboys will need to score 50 every game; they play attempt to play a Tampa cover 2. 4b) Miami's D will have a good test next week
5) Thank you to Ireland for M Wallace....but not really.

3a and 4a? where is 3b and 4b?

Another "red flag" is they both kind of took shots at each other in statements this offseason. Wallace said something like Tannehill is getting more accurate this offseason and Tannehill said something like its good to see Wallace practicing much harder. I guess they were both trying to be complimentary of each other but it could be taken as they were both making excuses for themselves too.

The timing issue can be one of two things:
1) Wallace isn't going full out in practice, which is what Tannehill suggested
2) Tannehill tenses up in the big moments, his technique breaks down which affects his accuracy

We hear that Lazor is working with Tannehill's motion, his footwork at least, which will hopefully help keep the accuracy even under the pressure of making the big throw. And Lazor emphasizes everybody practices full speed, especially the receivers and the QB will eventually catch up.

Long story short, the deep ball should be much improved this season.

Oh good here come the insults! That is about what I would expect from ignorance.

have you ever seen him with ANYTHING else?

when folks have nothing to say, have no insight or understanding of a subject, this is what they do.

just children at play man. not worth a mention.

are you and NRA the same poster?

did you mom have ANY kids that lived? :chuckle:

This is exactly how he'll succeed in this offense.

Wallace said something like Tannehill is getting more accurate this offseason

which is good because THE COACHES told tanny [not wallace] he needed to improve on the down field big play in the off season.

if that big throw last night where wallace was held all the way down the field is any indication, tanny may have done what the coaches asked him to do.

that was good play on that long ball for both tanny and wallace. to bad it wasnt a td or the refs didnt call the PI.

FOR EVERYONE: wallace just plain forgot about how to produce and make big plays once he came here huh? we all had these VERY SAME conversations and comments when BRANDON MARSHALL was here. he was over paid. a diva head case, no effort, he sucks, etc... . probably from the same posters. but, he left and became the all world wr again like he was when in denver. in denver, all world pro bowl big time wr. in miiai? not much. in chicago? once again, all world wr. probably the 1st or second best [calvin] in the nfl right now. so, whats the stand out in all that? miami.

and the best of that? marshall had 3 whole td's that last year in miami. but, he was voted to the pro bowl whre he had 4 td's in that one game and was named pro bowl MVP!! difference? better qb's at the pro bowl.

if wallace leaves, you will see the same thing. he will be all world with the patriots.

miami has suffered through poor qb play over the last decade and that is why all these guys go to other teams and become stars or show they are still stars [throw wes welker into this mix].

tanny has SUCKED down field. period. has he put it together finally? lets hope. then all the mike wallace sucks garbage will cease.

and as far as the perceived "back and forth shots", i dont remember seeing the one from tanny but if he did say that, i side with wallace as once again, the coaches told TANNY to improve the down field play, NOT wallace.

There is no way in hell 4.7 is the norm for Jarvis Landry.
