Heads Up :: Dolphins v. Falcons Replay TODAY

Nice rocket from Moore to Wallace. Very impressive throw!

Was just noticing that one too. I didn't catch it last night how good it was that Moore was even able to get the throw off. Charles Clay got run over in blitz pickup and Moore had a lot of pressure in his face. Also a nice catch by Wallace in traffic.

I don't see how it's even a question as to who should be getting 1st team reps starting this week - clearly Matt Moore has more upside - he's just limited and injury prone but at least he looks more natural out there than Henne.

Blind hatred is exactly what it is.

If Sanchez played anywhere else other than New York, Buffalo, or New England, he wouldn't even be mentioned here at FinHeaven but we'd all recognize that he's much better than Henne and has a bright NFL future ahead of him. Similar to Josh Freeman. You swap Mark Sanchez and Josh Freeman and Josh Freeman is getting a lot of hate these days.

Sorry but you're wrong again. Josh Feeman is another one of those light year QB's. To even compare Sanchez to Freeman is laughable. Sanchez is just way to erratic. Until he proves otherwise, he's in the same category as Henne.

Just watching Gates on that mistimed attempt at receiving the punt. . . he doesn't look very comfortable on punts, especially when compared to Livas. The rook has to know he needs to make sure he is under that ball.

Show me where I compared Freeman to Sanchez and then tell me I'm wrong again.

did Gates return kicks in college? Livas is tied for most career return TDs in NCAA history so he is very comfortable. I don't know if Gates did or not

Sorry MasterT, but IMO most here are sufficiently objective to understand that Josh Freeman is actually better than his team, carries them and made a mid round WR into a star as compared to Sanchez who's been carried by a team with a superior skillset to his own. It's ironic though that you compare the two since had the jest stayed at 17 instead of reaching up, they'd have ended up with the already better, more upside QB. As Fins fans, we should thank our lucky stars that they didn't though.

Yea well u know I got hated on in chat explaining the exact same thing u did . . . but its all good. I pointed out the bonehead INT and looked at the positives with the side step, scramble, TD plus 2 drops.

I dunno, hard to give Henne any credit around here lol.

hey man, remember during the season when we do chats you and I are normally on the same page. Had I been here I would have had your back

Gotta like the way Matt Moore hung in there on that TD to Wallace . . . he knew he was gonna get clocked and still made the throw.

Where the hell am I comparing Josh Freeman and Mark Sanchez?!

Similar, yes. Similar as in they're both very young budding QB's in this league with high ceilings drafted the same year. They've both been prouctive early in their careers. They're were both MUCH further along after year one than Henne is today.

The POINT in all of this, is if you take these two young QB's and swap them, we're hating on Josh Freeman regardless of statistics.

There's no doubt in my mind that Josh Freeman is a better QB right now and more than likely always will be. But that's not the point I'm making here. Unless you are an ELITE NFL QB in this league (ie: Tom Brady), if you play for a rival, you suck by default. Tom Brady is ELITE and therefore, we don't say he sucks.

I was very pleased with the pocket presence from both our QB's Both Henne and Moore did a nice job of avoiding the rush (which was constant and overwhelming at times).

Yea definitely, especially when implementing a new system, more than anything else the OLine probably has the toughest job of picking up the playbook with the different schemes and what not. Both Qb's did well to evade the pressure and make positives out of what could have easily been sacks. Atlanta was really coming with some blitzes last night.

THis may hold true to the short sighted, immature crowd (the Henne Hate Brigade). However, any of our objective fans can give credit where credit is due. If Freeman were on the Jet's, I'd hate him, but I'd have to respect the talent. As Vaark said earlier, Sanchez is being pulled up by the rest of his team. On any other team he would struggle.

Matt Moore threw a good ball, but that was double coverage . . . easy INT for the Falcons. Once again, the preseason is good to get some of that out of the system. Learn and move forward.

So on any other team Sanchez would struggle...

But Freeman on any other team, including the Jets...and you'd respect him lol?

See what just happened there?

Talk about short-sighted.

Damn.
