So, in other words, AJ got screwed. Like Griese got screwed over Fiedler?

Look, AJ knew the deal.. He should've stepped up his game but he didn't and he's paying for it. Maybe next hear he'll get his shot. After he fully understands the Linehan scheme of things.
The only problem I have with AJ is he had all offseason to learn this offense. Looks like he should have spent more time in the film room.

just say if he was cut this year (now) would we save this year??? now everybody dont go crazy on me im just asking not hopeing or praying

Kinda sounds like aj is being groomed for next season:eek:    :shakeno:

Groomed to be kicked out the door. He is terrible!! Why don't we just bring back fiedler? Frerotte & Feeley stink!!!!!!!!!!!

GO BERLIN!!!!

You can't just learn a new offense over one off season like you people seem to think. Just studying over everything isn't all he has to do. He has to have time actually playing in the system before he can fully understand it.

I would say it sounds like the people who play the game with him, the people who know best, realize the guy's got talent and to this day I havent heard anyone who's played with him say he'll never be good. They seem to think that he just needs time. You would think by now at least one Eagle would have said that guy was a chump if you believe in the conspiracy theory stated by some that no Dolphin would bad mouth him.

evans' feeley comment is a confidence booster. he's not gonna say feeley doesn't have it b/c that's his teammate.

Disagree. He should fully understand the offense by now. He needs time playing in it to execute the offense, not understand it. If he doesn't understand it by now than it's his own fault.

AJ's salary next year is 3.5 mil, with a cap # of 4.1 mil.....it will save money next year to cut him

Exactamundo!!!!!!! AJ Feeley backers need to come to grips with reality. This is his make or break season..........it's unfortunate for him, due to the presence of Gus, he's not really going to get a chance. It makes no sense to keep AJ at a cap hit of 4.1 million.........

AJ had time to understand the playbook. He should have spent all day and night cramming that information. It should have been second nature. Then all he had to do was execute. Obviously he didn't work hard enough in the offseason. From everything I've read and heard from Feeley, he just doesn't have that "fire" everyone recently has been talking about. He will not be here next year, unless he plays this year and shows drastic improvement.

I read reports that during the offseason, close to the arrival of minicamp, AJ was off traveling with his hot girl, not taking offseason training seriously. Not trying to knit-pick, but he should've known how much dedication it was going to take to really make his push this season.

$3.5 million with a $4.1 million cap hit..........be honest, those numbers don't look appetizing......

I actually think that's one of AJ's problems. I dont think he takes practice that seriously. And if that's the case he has noone to blame but himself for not having a better grasp of the offense. Unfortunatley I dont know whether thats true or not it but more my hunch
