Henne/Sanchez: Who Gives Finfans More to Smile About? Sanchez>Henne

Just for you junc I did a little bit of searching and it didn't take me anytime at all actually.

http://forums.theganggreen.com/showthread.php?t=50026 Here's FH regular Whiteshoe Willie calling for Sanchez getting benched. And I'm pretty sure he posted in another thread he doesn't remember any calls for Sanchez getting benched.

Some good old SOJ threads:

Plenty more where that came from. Good times. Will definitely be more of that this season as the Jets are a fluke and Sanchez will continue to completely blow.

Obviously you didn't wacth closely enough or you just don't get this game.

On every board there will be asinine posts, you are making it sound like most jet fans were calling for Clemens and that just isn't true. I'm not sure any did and since you won't back it up we'll never know.

I get the game perfectly. Sanchez was solid in the playoffs and a disaster in the regular season. Obviously you won't acknowledge it being the blind homer you are.

You sir are correct. Not every jets fan was calling for Clemens....just the intelligent ones, and heaven knows there aren't many of them.

So one player = entire D? It certainly seems like it. In two preseason games, Panthers have allowed 90 ypg passing. Are you going to tell me that its preseason and thats why they are doing good? If so, whats the debate? If not so, whats the debate?

It's pre-season, so I wouldn't base much on it in any case, but if you look inside the numbers - in Carolina's first pre-season game the Ravens put up 174 passing yards in the first half when the first & second strings were playing.

So yeah, they're awesome against Troy Smith and the Jets O.

Show me where I said I don't remember any calls for Sanchez getting benched. I still think they should have sat him for a game or two there. They pretty much did sit him for the Bucs game when he was "injured".

Not so much injuried, but more him knowing he isn't going to be having many good days vs teams from FL.

you're 32 years old and you watch the other afc east teams hoping for injuries? can you say no class?

No class, low class, classless, call it what you want, but I cheered the day Tom Shady went down with a knee injury, I was joyful when Wes Welker blew out his knee, I'm glad Byrd, Lynch and Jackson are struggling with injuries, I'll scream with glee when Jason Traitor blows some sort of ligament and I can't wait for the game where someone turns Favre into a vegetable. Injuries are a part of the game, I just try and look at them in an optimistic kind of way. I guess you could say I'm a glass half full kinda guy. BTW what the hell does my age have to do with any of it. I'm a smug immature individual, deal with it.

You're pretty gross, guy.

Regardless to say, I think its pretty pathetic in itself when people here base their opinion on a bad three series outing in a pre season game.

What else do I have to base it off right now? I don't and won't watch your drama reality TV show about your Jests, "Hard ****s" and last year Dirty sucked *** and he has continued to do so. He played pathetic and it won't be the last time either.

Watched about 5 minutes of Hard Knocks...good show, but team featured this year sucks.

Anyways, Namath was watching Sanchez taking snaps and about started drinking again in disgust. Sanchez was about as skilled taking snaps as a high-school freshman...unbelievable...so glad he is QB for the Jets or that team would have a legit chance to win the Super Bowl.

Don't get me wrong, Henne had a truely GREAT night. Going 11/14 with two TDs and two drops, while showing great poise and knowledge of the offense, had to put a smile on EVERY finfans face. But I have to give the nod to Sanchez. His 5/10 for 12 freaking yards and what should have been at least 2 picks, vs an average defense, made me as a finfan want to stand on my coffee table and dance.

With more being placed on the shoulders of Sanchez, it looks more and more like everything being said about Mark in the off season was correct," he just isn't that good". He is very dangerous with the ball and has looked lost from time to time. His footwork is sloopy and although the blocking has been above average, Mark still seems to ignore his presnap reads, some times holding the ball too long and other times getting rid of the ball when there is no need.

I know we are just two games into the preseason, but up to this point I would have to say, "he is who we thought he was". And as a finfan that just HAS to bring a bigger smile to your face. :hclap:
I don't think G-Men have an average defense. Maybe they don't look too solid now but they have a hell of defense.
Also if Mark Sanchez shows poor judgment on pre-season is careless, the real deal will start on September. And i love when Jets are winning because our divisional games get as explosive as TNT.
We have an easy client on Buffalo, two could lead to a boring season.

I thank you for digging and posting links BUT:

-In the first link no one called for Clemens
-In the 2nd link only 11 voters said to let him sit for a couple of games to get his feet under him, 104 other voters said keep him in.

Champ is one of the biggest darksiders on the board, we could win the SB but he'd complain we didn't win by enough points.

People are angry when their teams lose, it happens here all the time too but back to the original point there wasn't a mob calling for Kellen Clemens to start so thanks for posting, it confirmed what I said.

Try watching the games, the man had 3 brutal games and 15 of his 20 INts came in 4 games. He was good in games more often than not but you look at stat sheets and don't watch games so you don't get it.
