read option stop was just a great play by the safety...hartline tries to get in there but for some reason he doesnt just go right to the safety he takes a bad angle...but i'm not sure he would have gotten there anyways...at any rate he was late i know that

when has hartline ever blocked a safety anyways lol

Exactly, where is this uptempo offense Lazor was supposed to bring to the team? Even in the week 1 win over the Patriots, I didn't see much of it. Very disappointing so far.

The Jets were up 21-9 at that time, so it was a 12 point game. The Packers won by 7, so do the math on how important that 2 minute / 98 yard touchdown drive they had at the end of the second quarter was.

Unless you meant Buffalo was up by 9 and I misunderstood...to which I still say we could have at least tried and maybe been down 9-3 or 9-7 going into the half.

Hell, maybe? Probably? No? Cripes, I really hate to guess. Philbin has made some bass ackward decisions at times. In my opinion, I don't ever want to see my team wave the white flag, especially in the first half of a game. I agree that the first half up to that point was a disaster, but you don't give up. You only get so many offensive drives a game, and with 2 minutes and three timeouts you don't just give an opportunity to score away IMO. Plus, I hate the message it sends to the team.

I thought throwing to a spot was one of the pillars of the WCO.

Trunsik had a shot at Spiller almost got a finger on him, but man was his lack of speed/burst exposed there even ****ty Wheeler probably trips him up. Defense was confused all day long by Buffalos motion and misdirection. Special Teams were Special Olympics, and passing game blows! Very few passes are put in a place wr can catch and run. Ironically the one bright spot in passing game is Wallace and it is mostly off routes that he is suppose to not be able to run.

well werent we west coast offense also under sherman the last 2 years??? i know we worked option routes and tannehill seemed to see things better and throw the ball with better placement...

So youre saying that the Sherman offense was perfectly suited to Tannehill's strengths? I thought everyone on FH agreed that Sherman was clueless.

Perhaps Tannehill is simply not cut out to be an NFL QB and Sherman was trying the difficult task of polishing a turd.

Sherman ran the WCO in GB, Houston, Seattle, and TAMU. So ya, odds are that's what he ran here as well. He said in an interview that you still have to maintain flexibility in what your players do well.
 
perhaps tannehill was maxed out in shermans offense...i find it really hard to believe this offense looks more qb friendly to me but if it turns out that way i will have severely overrated him as a nfl qb...

jury is still out but i'm not sitting on here making a bunch of excuses or spinning anything cause i always call it like i see it...i just know 2 games in it's not good enough...it's average at best nfl qb play...in fact imo it's a step down from what i have seen the last 2 years...
 
I have a feeling throwing to a spot is not something everybody can get used to.
 
We got away from a balanced gameplan somewhat early too, which never helps - especially with the Bills' front. I want to see Damien Williams get more looks in the running game, he looked like he fits well in the system out there, really fights for yards too.. Not sure it'll happen with the Thomas signing but I'll keep my fingers crossed.
 
If it's not something that Tannehill can get used to, then it's on the OC to adapt his plan to play to Ryan's strengths. Don't force a round peg into a square hole or whatever that saying says.
 
Hoops Nice write-up Dude. Why is it not obvious to our Coaches, what is so obvious to you and most on FH. Trusnik and Miller are both awful. Neither should be on the roster let alone starting. That is what Rookies with upside are for. McCain for Trusnik, and Williams for Miller. Not going anywhere with those other fools
