yeah but that's not a good enough angle to make a definitive statement...if you have it right down the boundary line that's what you really need...i tried to see it every different way on the dvr but i couldn't

You won't convince some of these guys to what your trying to say. Everything is on Wallace, never on Tannehill. Ever.

Here is a sequence from the Raiders-Jets game yesterday. James Jones hauls in a TD pass from Derek Carr. This is what professional WR play is supposed to look like. I post this for those who seem to have forgotten. Does ANYONE think Wallace makes this play?

Go up for the ball

Second foot down. Touchdown.

This was a much harder catch than Wallace's.

Another angle shows him leaning towards the side line and there is no need to do that. He is trying to catch it against his chest. If he simply runs forward and reaches up to eye level, it is a TD, easily.

Even the softy Hartline would have gotten his feet in bounds on that throw.

I find it amusing how the Dolphins score 33 points on a Bill Belichick defense that was supposed to be significantly improved over last year and the boo birds are out in full force incapable of giving Tannehill any kind of credit for those 33 points yet in the preseason it's entirely his fault for the first team offense only scoring one touchdown.

BTW take a look at how many teams scored 33 points on the Patriots last year. (there weren't any)

Sorry but I disagree. Wallace is a professional WR. My biggest problem with him is that he doesn't even approach the position properly. Everyone knows you shouldn't catch with your chest all the time. He doesn't just do it when he has no other choice. He is actually adjusting his body to catch it in the chest when the pass is there to be caught the proper way. This was a perfect example. He took himself out of bounds trying to catch the ball in the chest. Here he is leaning towards the sideline needlessly:

How many times have you seen him leap in the air to catch it in the belly on a crossing route? He robs himself of yards after catch.

All this talk this offseason about the JUGS machine after practice. I've gotten visions of him catching 50-100 balls in the chest and stomach after every practice.....

This offense is capable of big things because Wallace is on the field. Ask Revis.

Tannehill needs to punch him in the face. Did you happen to see the pass that hit Wallace in the face mask? How about the 3rd and 11 where Wallace has 3 yards of cushion for the 1st down and doesn't come back to the ball? Honestly the guy is one of the most clueless WRs I have seen. Almost no awareness.

I'm a huge Tannehill guy, but yesterday was not a good day....I expect more out of him...

First half he was off, doesn't really matter the reason, he should be better then that and I expect better play from him going forward.

As far as questionable plays or catches...Still on Tannehill, regardless if that pass to Wallce would have been completed to another WR...Tannehill should know his guys, that ball could have been placed a little better (on both the crossing route and the deep pass). If you look at what the offense is giving him....and how many opportunities are available, there is no reason he should be completing 50 some odd percent of his passes. He needs to play better and he will as he get more and more comfortable in the offense.

Yes I did. But I also seen accuracy problems coming from the qb. And frankly, I expect better from a future FRANCHISE qb.

He was off in the first half but not as off as many are making it sound. During his bad stretch, he was 10 of 12.

He had at least 6 drops yesterday (three by Wallace, one each for Clay, Landry, and Sims). Two for TDs (Wallace and Sims). Several were for big yardage. Factor those in and it is a huge day.

But not a SIXTY MILLION DOLLAR receiver?

Wallace has not changed who and what he is. He had a good run with Pittsburgh, and Big Ben. Tannehill needs to get better, if not he's limiting what this offense is capable of.

I understand both players strengths and weakness's, sadly you fail to put ANY blame on the guy making the throws.

If Tannehill is a franchise QB we have to expect more from him....he has to be held to a higher standard. As a fan I am not going to be satisfied with that performance because I know he is better then that,

If you just want to toss a black and white number out there like 10-for-12 then that's how you can paint it. However, many of those completions were passes behind the receivers and in areas they had to work hard to get to.

Second half was a little cleaner as the game progressed.
