How crowded and loud does Dolphins Stadium Get?

The stadium doesnt get incredibly loud. The problem is that at every game... there are a **** load of fans for the away team because the people that live in south florida are from all over the country. Especially teams from up north... It gets loud... but not an extreme homefield advantage kinda loud...

Nasty

Well put, I usually come down to 2 games or so a year and would love once to come to a game where the fans just took over. I'm sure there have been games like that over the years but it would be great if it was every game. I think it is hard pressed to do that however because as Nasty stated there are tons of fans for the away team there. Hell two years ago against the Pats when Mare missed the FG, I thought it was good because the cheer was so loud, once I found out he missed I couldn't believe that it was the Pats fans that had cheered that loud, there were a lot of them there that day.

The loudest I ever heard it was in the AFC Championship game against the Bills, and that ended by the 2nd quarter.

I'm a bad judge, only been to 8 home games, but most the crowd seems pretty laid back, you have the loyals (whom mostly it seems post here). But I have been disappointed each time that it has not been louder.

I have been to games in Philly, Tampa and Giants and Jets and they are much louder.

But

It could be the way the stadium is built, and a factor maybe the games I went to see. So again, I could be a bad judge.

I've been to a few games at Joe Robbie- the Washington game in 2003 it was LOUD. When we started coming back in that game, the volume really ratcheted up. I was at the Baltimore playoff game in '01 and it was very loud that day too, but the noise didn't last too long after we got behind and showed basically NO signs of life on offense at all. I'm really hoping that they're going to be moving the lower level seats closer to the field this year- and Saban's plea with the fans to be the 12th man hopefully will help. We're one of the most passionate fan bases in the NFL by far- and it should show on game day. While it can get loud at JR, it's NOT on the level of other stadiums. I've seen the Dolphins play the Giants and Jets at Giants Stadium and it gets so loud in there, you can't hear yourself think.

Nothing is or will ever be like the OB, but Dolphins stadium does get pretty loud, this year it will get even louder, i mean we cant possibly have another year like last year, not only the record, but all the hurricanes, and postponed games under the rain, I myself as a season ticket holder I cant wait to get back to real football, and screaming my a$$ off!

I haven't missed a game in 4 years... It's a combination of the stadium and the crowd. The crowd is never majority Dolphin fans... South Florida is too diverse for that. I remember the Raiders game in 2001 and the entire upper level was shaking... All in all, it's a great time. Where I sit, it's always pandamonium!

For me every sunday during football season is like Christmas morning, i just cant wait to get out there, Tailgating is alot of fun, and where i sit is also crazy, i wouldnt sell my season tickets for anything!!!!!

I am a 6 year season ticket holder for the Phins and Canes and NOTHING is like the Orange Bowl even with a college team. It is loud as all heck in that place!

As for Dolphins Stadium, many times i sit in that stadium pissed off because all i hear is the opposing fans. Obviously last year was the worst of all because we stunk it up. But there have been times that it gets loud on our part because we are playing really well.

In reality, MIami is full of bandwagon Dolphin fans, therefore they are only loud when we have a good season. My sister and i, rain or shine, win or lose have to loose our voices every game just to get our section loud! And our section is one of three or four sections that are noisey all the time! (endzones are always the loudest) In a nutshell, your not going to get the experience of a loud faithful crowd in Miami because we just dont have a loud, faithful crowd.

The OB is great, except they REALLY need to improve the PA system, and maybe get a big screen so we can actually see some replays! GO CANES!

I think we have faithful PHINS fans, just not very loud! *lol*!

Yep have to agree that one got loud, when Surtain intercepted that last pass the stadium went nuts. I remember going back to the hotel after that game thinking cool I will be back here in a few weeks for a playoff game. Boy was I wrong.

I think the game he was talking about was the '01 Raider game- the one where Fiedler scored the winning TD on the sneak.

Yeah, that's the one... The Monday Night game against NE last year was great too... Although most everyone left, I stayed to the beautiful end! It was pretty loud for being half empty!
