this game was a blowout, and if anything it was closer than it should have been scorewise.

we had a really good opening drive, actually great opening drive. picture perfect. after that, we really did not have a consistently good offensive drive.

yes we had yards, but a stat i saw on espn boston by pats reporter mike reiss, 211 of the 488 yds we had were when we were down 2 tds late in the 4th. thats a lot of chunk of yds in garbage time, and considering we had i believe it was an 80 plus yd drive to open the game, thats not so much meaningful offense in between.

henne played well. i like his poise, his guts, his mechanics seemed much more improved and he was a bright spot.

our defense got smothered not even worth getting into a discussion about them.

bottom line, the actual score was 38-24, which imo is a blowout and prob would have been 38-17 if the pats really cared.

if a team is favored by 14 pts in a game, that means that team is expected to blowout the other team. well, losing by double digits, especially 2 touchdowns imo is a blowout,
 
as far as sparano losing his job, if we have another game where our oline stinks it up, and our d which was supposed to be elite plays as bad this week vs houston, i really think its time to ponder a change.

now i know their basically is zero chance of him being a gonner after 2 games no matter if we lose 55-0 prob.

so in realistic terms, id say any 0-4 start whether we lose each of the next 3 games by 1 pt on last second fg's each, he should be gone during the bye week.

this team has too much talent to be this poor.

that being said, if fully expect us to bounce back with a win vs houston and cleveland, and then will see vs san diego.

Doubt the Steelers are panicking at all. When you've been to 3 SuperBowls since 2006 and won 2 of them, you have reason for optimism. The Phins? Meh.. looking like another 6-7 win season. Maybe even worse.
 
Firing Sparano mid-season is the worst thing that can happen, no matter what the record is. If Miami is 0-7, 1-6, etc... you just keep riding that train right into Andrew Luck.


How stupid would Miami look for trying to replace Sparano with Harbaugh, to giving him a contract extension, to firing him mid-season.....:lol:


Everyone with half a brain already knows Miami is going nowhere and winning nothing with this bunch. Let it be.

The ONLY good thing sparano can do for this team is to put them in a position for Luck. He's totally useless in any other capacity as he's in way over his head in this league, and rightfully belongs in the high school ranks.

Tony Sparano ain't coaching any high school teams around here where I'm at... I can tell you that much.
 
A. Losing 38-24 is never a blowout. See the Falcons, Cheifs, and Steelers games if you want to see one
B. We are never going to be bad enough to get Luck assuming he gets drafted from 1-5. Get over it
C. Can we not panic like little girls over one loss to the best team in the nfl
 
0-2 usually means you're not a playoff team. At 0-2, Ross will highly consider firing Sparano at the end of the year unless they turn the season around.

That isn't the bottom line, that's your opinion. Your opinion on something that didn't even happen. It reality it doesn't matter if it's a blowout or not, the loss is what counts.
 
Ross is too inept to fire Sparano or Ireland. He had his chance last year and bungled it. What makes anyone think he would fire Sparano mid season?
 
The Jets lost to the Patriots 45-3 last year before beating them in the playoffs. To me it's about Sparano's ability to make adjustments as the season goes along. The red zone offensive play calling has to be improved. If he can't make the adjustments, he'll be gone at the end of the year.
 
CHAD HENNE picked up 150 yds passing it in what i like to call "trash time". This team is going no where fast. Tony Sparano needs to be fired. We realized this in the off season and we still struck out. Furthermore, the whole league looks at us as a JOKE. Nice move Sparano cut Will Allen to keep Benny Sapp.Will Allen's experience would have prevented that 99yd TD. Nice move Sparano you stupid #^%$&^&*^#&^&^#&^. We see you Sparano, you make yourself look worst everyday talking to the media about how the fans are with you or not, were going to win games? Were not going to win **** while you talk out of your %#^%@^%#. TALK IS CHEAP ^$#$%$&^&!!!!!
