CHAD HENNE picked up 150 yds passing it in what i like to call "trash time". This team is going no where fast. Tony Sparano needs to be fired. We realized this in the off season and we still struck out. Furthermore, the whole league looks at us as a JOKE. Nice move Sparano cut Will Allen to keep Benny Sapp. Will Allen's experience would have prevented that 99yd TD. Nice move Sparano you stupid #^%$&^&*^#&^&^#&^. We see you Sparano, you make yourself look worst everyday talking to the media about how the fans are with you or not, were going to win games? Were not going to win **** while you talk out of your %#^%@^%#. TALK IS CHEAP ^$#$%$&^&!!!!!

If you like to call it trash time then it must be just that. Henne played probably one of the best games he ever has and some fools just hate so they can hate. So you think it's all Sparanos fault and none of Nolans? The offense was the only thing that worked. Please think before you type.

I would be incredibly shocked if Sparano was fired during the season. Ross doesn't want that bad press right now. He would literally have to start 0-8 . . . and even then, like Slimm said I ride that train all the way to Andrew Luck.

I want the Dolphins to win it all like always, but Miami couldn't pick a better season to 1-15 than this year. The franchise is on deck . . . the pressure is on.

Really? I'm sorry but you are going to talk about your original usage of "trash time" ? How did you ever come up with such an original phrase? Most of us call it garbage time, but to change that to trash is just so inspired.

I'm sorry I know I am being an ***, but that phrasing just really annoyed me for some reason.

I am predicting 2 at most I think if we get kicked in the nuts again this weekend by Houston Sparano is out, unless somehow he charms Mr Ross again..

blowout, 38-24 is not a blow out.. if you think about it, because of the game, our O is number 2 after week one to Pat's 1, our D is 32 to Pat's 31.. we pretty much did the same thing to each other in that game, except our O is new, and their's is established..

I say 0 - 4 will get him fired, if not it should. This team was not prepared to play against a division opponent at home opening day. That should be totally unacceptable by the owner. Also why resign LJ if they were not going to use him especially on the goal line if nothing more than a decoy he would have at least made the pats think they were going to run. Stupid personnel decision by GM and coach, I've been a Dolphins fan since 1970 and I have never been embarrassed to say I was a fan until now.

Think before i type? I did actually, thought about it during the offseason... When we were trying to find a replacement coach and QB. That made us look like a joke to the NFL. We basically told our starting QB and coach your not good enough, then we say guys no hard feelings. Actions speak louder then words!!!!! Also, The Patriots Defense is not that good especially after what i saw Monday night. FACE the facts, being happy with 9-7 is a joke and im tried of it. How many seasons has it been since we made an impact in the NFL? 1972 was a good year. Name another since then please. My favorite memory in the past 10 years was watching Cleo Lemon throw a TD pass to Greg Camerillo in OT to beat the all mighty Ravens. And it was our ONLY WIN of the season. SAD

They will wait to the bye week which is 4 games into the season. If we are 2-2 and there is improvement he stays. If we are 1-3 or 0-4 and things are unravelling then Nolan will be the intern coach.

He won't get the axe...period...Ross is a moron...

I wish there was a way to fire Ireland....that flaming douchebag should be the first b(tch shown the door.

The sad thing is that Tony will get the can before Ireland...and Ireland will probably stick around with the replacement coach...who he will pick...and it won't be until that coach fails that Ireland gets replaced....So, look forward to another 4 years of Ireland...

It would be retarded to fire Sparano midseason if we are like 0-7. If you are 0-7 at the very least, you are tied for first in the suck for Luck campaign. Why would you wanna trash that by firing the man that is helping insure you get a franchise QB next year? Dumb, dumb, DUMB!

We would have to get rid of Ireland for sure though...he would draft Luck if he had the #1 pick...it would be some cornfed DL from UConn...

PS This thought process of loosing to draft Luck is just hogwash IMO. You want to win games and or the superbowl you go find the right coach and he will find a winning QB. Drew Brees, Barry Sanders, Dan Marinio all are players who carried their respective teams along with others to some winning records but the coach is the bottom line to this business. So if you can get the right coach this year starting in game five for example like BIll Cowher you do it now and you start getting things turned around that much quicker. Looking at many of the football gurus using a little of my own logic you can see that we have no real power back other than the gamble on DT and how could you figure Columbo would get better coming from Dallas to Miami. I would love like all of us to really know the skinny on some of these personel decisions. Did we not get some veterans because of money, evaluation or because they did not want to play here. Sounds other than the Oline that we interested in some of the right players but did not close the deal for some reason/
We do have a good WR corp, DL, CB and kickers so we have some stuff to work with right out the gate. My thoughts a coach could come in quickly tweak the line by moving Columbo out Nate Gardner to guard, Carey to Right Tackle, Incognito to center and Pouncy to LG and the OL would be in much better shape. Then you need a power back and hope you can groom DT as your feature back and Bush as a big play back.

That isn't the bottom line, that's your opinion. Your opinion on something that didn't even happen. It reality it doesn't matter if it's a blowout or not, the loss is what counts.
i agree with you that the only thing that matters is the loss. whether its by 1 or 50 pts. a loss is a loss.

that being said, the thread topic was how many ''blowout'' losses until sparano gets the axe.

now some scores when you lose by 14 pts can be a lot closer than the score indicates, such as the superbowl between the colts and saints. the saints win by 14 pts, coming on a pick 6 to seal the deal. that is not a blowout.

now granted we only lost by 14 pts here, but i dont know about you, but being at the game, seeing the stands practically empty out with like 10 minutes to go in the 4th qtr usually does not happen during a close game. so in this case, imo, maybe not everyones, but this game felt more like a 4 touchdown game, rather than 2 td game.

I could see Tony getting fired during the bye week if he's still winless or just has one win. I don't see him getting fired earlier than that. Trust me, I want the guy gone as much as anybody, but firing him after the Houston game would be ridiculous.
