He tore his ACL. He's done for the year. Period. You don't rush back from a knee injury.

True ... if he was healed. But, it doesn't heal that quickly. For ACL repairs using donated tendons, the recovery time is 4-6 months at best. If it's his own tendon, it's more like 6-8 months. I don't know which type of surgery he had, I would suspect that he had the cadaver. But, that means no sooner than 4 months. So, end of November, early December at the very earliest. If so, then it's not worth it.CanadaPhinsFan said:It wouldn't be rushing back if he's healed and ready to go. I agree it's a long shot that he'll be back any time this year, but it is still a possibility.

exactomundo. We have the rookies to do it.rookieholdout said:Without a doubt... And i really see daniels progressing this year. You never know poole and daniels could be the next madison-surtain.
Once you have knee surgery, riding a stationary bike is standard PT as soon as possible after surgery to get back your range of motion. You can't judge someone's riding a stationary bike as an indicator of their progress. It would be nice to have him but let's say hypothetically that he was healthy towards the end of the season. He wouldn't be effective anyway b/c he hasn't practiced for months. Why even bother this year?JimmyJohnson1 said:I heard a rumor that Will P. will be back after 8 weeks and he been at camp, now on the bicycle....is that true??????
