Whats the sense of continuously praying for a successful 40 yard go-route down the sidelines when we can hit a 7 yard hitch 98% of the time and ricky will get 3 yards in the two (or 3) other downs.... The quicker teams learn that, the more efficient they will be!

I think Boston's ability to break tackles will be a HUGE plus for feeley..............call the quick hitch.......dump it to boston......just him and the cb one on one........Boston pieces him with a stiff arm.......gets going full speed down the sideline........nice 20+ yard pick up.

Feeley pump fakes the hitch to Boston.........hits McMichael who got behind of the db who bit(not wanting to face the stiff arm again).

Feeley dumps it off to ricky........gets an escort down the field by boston.

QUOTE (Green_Feathers @ Apr 28 2004, 05:00 PM) Ive got a few tricks up my sleeve, so I think i can figure out a way to patch my VCR to my Digital TV recorder, then hook that up to a computer, where i can burn dvds. If not tha tI have a few electrical engineer friends and a comuter science rother who can probably help me figure out a way to patch my vcr directly to my computer. Trust me this time investment is not for you, because I want all my eagles vids on DVD anyways, and it would be a worthwhile learning experience.

I just remember that game had a 53 yard pass to Cecil Martin where Feeley put the ball on him between all 3 redskins LBs.

I asked this guy for some game tapes but, it's the last line that applies here...;)

You forgot my favorite one.

Feeley play-action fakes to Ricky and hits Chambers on a deep fade.

Life is good.

Keep the info. on feeley comin........i like what im hearing.
I'm waiting for replies to this question....
I have another question, I've seen the highlights of his long throws but how is he at play fakes and hitting the little dump offs, like screens and such?
:D

first response....from CaliEagle....
Feeley struggled a little bit with screens, as I remember. He did his best when he had intermediate to long throws. I was most impressed with his velocity and accuracy on deep throws.
Gotta take the good with the bad.... :)

When did Fiedler have all day to make throws? I know that it never happened in 2003.....

LOL, he only had a few times last year. In the Dallas game, first pass to CC, overthrew him; a few throws, to Mcknight and CC also in the season were overthrown. For the most part he had a few games in the 2001 and 2002 seasons where he missed his targets...

same guy...
I don't remember that much about play action fakes with him. Andy probably doesn't call as many play actions compared to other coaches. By the way, Feeley mainly struggled with the middle screen. He had a little trouble waiting until the D-line collapsed the pocket until the middle area of the field was open for the RB. He would throw it a little too soon. I'm sure he will get the hang of that though with more experience. The Dolphins really need to improve that OL though because no QB will succeed with the way that O-line played last year.
sounds like he knows what he's talking about, doesn't he?....;)

he probably had a little trouble with his screens cause its more of a touch pass( didn't have alot of gametime experience) but with the int./deep throws his natural abiltity was able to overcome the inexperience. I think that is a good sign.........although i might have no idea what im talking about.....which is it???

I would think it would be alot easier to get a touch for the screens then for the int./deep balls............especially since he will be getting the magority of the snaps in tc and pract. which will enable to get on the same page with ricky........i suspect that is why he might not have been consistent with the screens in philly. Again............i might have no clue what im talking about.......does this sound resonable???

sounds reasonable to me...i would think , on the deep passes it's just a matter of him and receiver getting their timing right.....on the screens it's a matter of being in sync with the o-line, the rush, and the receiver....sounds like that would take a little more practice...:dunno:

Another quote....from ChickenSamwich.....
He had some really nice play action passes. I remember a couple, which I think were against Dallas, that were especially nice.

CaliEagle again......this one will scare the he// out of you....:(
If you do get the games on tape, you will notice that Andy had moments where he let AJ be aggressive and then for some odd reason he would get really conservative. In the Giant loss, Andy let AJ throw a lot on first down on the first drive...which was effective. But, then for some odd reason, Andy became predictable after that by running on 1st and 2nd down most of the rest of the game, then passing on 3rd down. That seemed to cause AJ to struggle. But, in the Seattle and Dallas game, Andy let AJ throw as much as he would let McNabb throw. So, in my opinion, some (but not all) of AJ's struggles were due to some vanilla play-calling.

I guess all we can do is hope that the fo has learned from there mistakes...........if they have, it should be a mute point..............but if not, we are in for a long season of bs play calling that I can call from my toilet seat when im just listening to the damn game!
