I need an answer....

Damn, he must be slow....I mean, you've already evaluated Feeley so what the heck is taking Saban so long?? Surely he knows much more than you do about AJ, you'd think he would have seen everything that you have by now. he's certainly seen enough to make a decision already and stop wasting time alternating reps with the first team. Maybe you should call him, I think he needs your help.

That's why I'm a fan and not a football coach. He won't rush to judgement because if he did he'd be out of the job. Because anything can happen, Feeley could come out and play like he has ice water in his veins.. I doubt it though. He'll take his time to evaluate the two and come to the conclusion that Frerrote is the quarterback that will be able to gel and run the offense the most effective. Just wait and see.

I'm not reaching for nothing Fin, I was just listing names....I don't think any of those guys are better than Sage "Call me for your next party" Rosenfels let alone AJ Feeley or Gus Frerotte....although DeBerg has me intrigued...

That's what I get for comming into a thread late without reading the 80 or so posts previous.

i just want to know which team has won a superbowl within the last few years that had a quarterback controversy????? The answer is ZERO, Zilch, Nada, no one. we will never get anywhere as a team as long as there is controversy at the most important position on the team!!!! Get a starter here now to he double toothpicks to mr brown and his millions spend it on a qb. we can live with ricky at rb.

Thanks inFins. I disappeared for awhile because i got tired of reading the same old negative crap. There is nothing wrong with different opinions, but the bashing sucked!
Saban has been a breath of fresh air...there truly is hope around here, much less negativity but, just like the real world, there are people who just have to find something to gripe about...

remeber though, the more positive people that are here, the more positive vibes we'll have overall... ;)

But, you admit that you could be wrong.....that's the entire point. But anybody who says "AJ sucks...cut him now"....has got to answer the question of "Why can't Saban see that?"

Na Bledsoe was injured. There wasn't a controversey because Bledsoe didn't deserve the job back. Brady didn't even lose a game that year.
It was a controversy, Bellichick was on the hot-seat about who would start in the playoffs for weeks.

Right. Bledsoe led the team for years. Came back after nearly dieing. Led the team to a playoff win and was still replaced for the SB. No controversy. I'm sure no veterans were pissed because the "you don't lose your job to injury" unwritten rule was violated. Bledsoe was a popular player. Brady was still unproven.

The Pats lost against the Rams, Broncos, and Dolphins with Brady at QB.

Whatever you say man.

I'm no negative Nancy though so you can tell me to look in the mirror all you want. It's a fact of life. Everybody is naive about something sometimes.

Heres my take pal: If they are only a buggywhip apart either way, Feeley will start. Obviously, Saban will err on the side of youth if there is only a negligible amount of difference between the two after the Jax game. I think Saban will declare a clear cut starter before the 4th preseason game so that that player can gel with the offense in the last two games.

Sabans no dummy he knows Feeley has talent. But, on the devils advocate side, who else does he have to put into competition with Frerotte?...Sage?

The ball is in Feeley's court, he just needs to put on his A Game.

Saban has no desire to fail in any position.

Thanks for the recap, I forgot and stand corrected.

Regardless though, Brady got them to that playoff game in which Bledsoe won. Bradys injury wasn't serious and that was that.
