I don't want to dive into this ****show, but yes.
He certainly doesn't look weak in the game footage I've seen.

Im discounting your experience because it has little to do with this situation.
other prospect goes through the same process as James. Even the long arm ones. They dont have to much trouble with it.
Perhaps when the combine creates a special lifting event for long arm prospects that totally replaces the bench press i'll change my tune. Until then, i'll keep laughing at the idea that long arms automatically mean its acceptable to not lift as many weights as virtually everyone else.
so james could only put up 22 reps with 35" arms and somehow - apparently defying physics - his teammate (richardson) was able to put up 36 reps with the exact same arm length.
don't be mean if you don't know what the fugg you're talking about. just don't talk.
Did it ever occur to you his teammate could've devoted more time to his form on the bench press?
Nobody ever said anything about NOT being able to bench with longer arms. The physics are indisputable that bench press for people with longer arms is a little more difficult than those with shorter.
'devoted more time to his form on the bench' is code for 'that other guy with the exact same arm length is just stronger', right?
yes i am aware that it is tougher. that does not mean, however, that james isn't weak. look at those shoulders man. and we drafted him to play on the right side, correct?
he needs to get functionally stronger in order to succeed on the right side in the nfl. i think he'll end up playing on the left on down the line, but that's just me.
my point to you was don't get all huffy with someone over something that could easily go either way. sure it's harder, but as his teammate - and many, many before him - proved, its done all the time.
long arms vs. short arms .
He did 22 reps @225. The worst an OT did in that category was 21. He's weak.
