Yea God forbid they take time from golfing or stroking it to interview a FA during Free Agency wouldnt want to waste their time....making millions to uncover every stone.....I said no **** they wont based on their actions so far, and the reality Marshall has been dubed a Diva and that word makes parcells **** himself. IF they took the time to speak with him they may get a diff perspective and realize the risk isnt as bad as originally thought

I cannot stand when people are on here evaluating players motivations or what we as a franchise are going to do as if any of you know at ALL. Yet I hear every day no chance, get this through your thick skull. Shut the hell up. You know nothing of our plans or about any player other than what you read. People act like they are insiders and provide no intel other than an ignorant statement.

My post was about how there was no risk in speaking with him. One on 2....sparano and parcells vs Marshall. I would be happy if we did that and stayed away. The fact is however to this point they have not thought outside the box or entertained the thought. Give me a reason why its a bad idea based on more than Jeremy Shapp ESPN specials. Your paid millions to evaluate talent not get as much info as I have and say no thanks when it would GREATLY help this team.

The fact is your right...we WONT do anything....and that is what has people so upset. If they researched or got the word from the horses mouth and then said hey we looked into it, not a good fit...then great im extremely happy. But if they are going to be so closed minded and pass on an oppertunity like this it hurts, and strikes me as slightly ignorant.

Teams are not pursuing him because of the price tag and not many teams have the hole at WR as we do. Who else needs a Wr this bad? Chicago-no 1st, Balt-Bolden, Cin-Bryant...who else. And honestly even that blows my mind. This guy is a huge talent and unless police reports are being poured over behind closed doors more teams should be talking to this guy in person to get a read on his current maturity level.

You seem complacent with the fact we wont even sniff the dude to see whats up...thats the problem, its a closed minded thought process. We dont even know what the asking price really is. Who knows maybe a 1st next yr or 2nd and 3rd. We wont know and we dont care, and thats what is frustrating

his point was, bring the guy in. talk to him face to face. ask him the tough questions. do your due diligence. don't just scan over finheaven threads and read a bunch of guys who THINK they know that one slip up results in marshall being in the middle of a year long suspension.

the one suspension that sticks out the most to me is mcdaniels power trip. suspend bmarsh for conduct detrimental to the team. but suspend him for the preseason games when it doesn't matter. make sure you have him in uniform for the games when they count.

that team has been a joke since josh took over. an incident with cutler.
incidents with marshall. an incident with nolan.

I get that were not bringing him in here. the problem I and most fans have, are that we didn't even explore bringing him in.

didn't actively seek Q.

we want to settle for guys like derek mason and speculate on josh cribbs a return specialist. nevermind the young guys who could stick around a while and be major contributors.

Thank you....this is all I have been saying for weeks now. I trust the F.O and they are the professionals. I do not make comments like I know the guy, or know how solid a FS is I have never seen play like 90% of people on here like anyone is an NFL talent scout. Maybe it is people talking like hes one infraction away. Facts are no complaints filed in 2 years, no arrests, same woman for 2 years now engaged. Yet all you hear is negative **** because of how he and everyone on that team acts towards mcdaniels. Hopefully our FO knows him personally but I doubt it. Im sure Nolan does. Funny last year Nolan sung Marshalls praises so either he was BSing to please him or just not being listened to by our FO bc parcells hates diva, "Good" Wrs.

Patssuck.....I hope you are correct about the FO and just because it is not public they have done work. But I am sure the media would have gotten word if we looked at police reports, or had internal discussions. They broke this weekend the Phils had talked about trading for Pujols. I am not an arm chair QB, nor do I pretend to know the entire NFL FS roster or grade them out. Just want an open mind to make this team a contender. Open mind does not mean pulling the trigger. But when I hear No WAY, NO chance, DIVA Recieva, it gets really old. I do get the feeling with B.P in charge we get a great character guy and guy who knows how to assemble a team. I also feel however we got a guy who is stuck in his ways and wouldnt look at Jerry Rice if there was a rumor of him touching a girl or being upset with a coach, mainly bc of his experience with TO. Maybe Im wrong but thats how it feels. Hope I am wrong, and there is a reason outside of outside the lines or mcdaniels we have been saying **** no since day 1. With that I am done w B. Marshall.......SO celebrate Nawledge

I assume Nolan is professional enough to not talk bad about his own players but behind closed doors Parcells will get the real details.

:lol: i dont mean to be a dick or nothing when i say it but i try to explain it all the time that we arent gonna make a move like that, i mean i think almost everyone can agree that theres no way Parcells trades the #12 pick and signs a guy like Marshall with his history(Parcells & Marshalls). No matter how much people would like it to happen some people here have to face facts and accept the reality of it. Obviously i dont know for sure, anything can happen in a month from now but from the looks of it i HIGHLY doubt we make a move for him. Theres been like 50 Marshall threads made since they tendered him tho, the mods have been mergin threads more than usual. :chuckle:

play than the federal debt and guys are slobering for him?

as long as he isnt a "diva" huh?

its just so funny, BRANDON MARSHALL isnt even a quarter of the
head case this guy is but me and about 3 other people want him
here.

and marshall is 20 times the receiver that richie is a guard.

makes no sense what this front office thinks some times.

Exactly.....which just goes to prove my point in how VALUABLE high draft picks still are....even in a salary capless environment....

They'll consider a loose cannon like Incognito that makes Marshall look like a coach's pet.....because he doesn't cost draft picks...

If you're going to take on a pain in the ***......at least make sure you take on one that's also going to win you football games...

im one of the 3. getting marshall should atleast be explored.
 
Whoa Whoa guys easy now....lets not suggest Parcells has an issue with big headed Wrs that stops him from doing due dilligence....that couldnt be true because he is a consumate professional and has always assembled great Wr corps. Im sure when hes traveling to Marlins Spring Training games or Golfing hes given Ireland the greenlight to atleast research.....hmmmmmm
 
This is why this is going to be the Wannstedt years all over again pre Ricky's retirement.

Will continue to bring in stop gaps on offense and try to win it all with an above average to good defense that isnt spectacular. Playoffs..1st,2nd round and done.

LOL The reason Bill Parcells is here is because of what he refuses to do and that is address the passing game with elite or an elite talent. 2000 and on would have been totally different if they would have had a playmaker on the outside. Instead even then we were playing Parcells ball and look where it got us.
