Yeah rule No. 1 as a journalist is to not cite sources who choose to remain anonymous - a practice that is broken WAY too often nowadays.
that Miami paper was not real. it's almost a copy of the GB article, with a dolphins twist on it.

Disagree.
1) LB's have actually been much improved this year, and that's while dealing with multiple injuries. Secondary also seems to be relatively solid with Grimes and Finnegan both playing decent. Certainly wouldn't call them struggling. Throw in a returning starting safety just for argument's sake.
2) While I guess you could argue that our 2, 3, and 4 receivers are relatively "average", Mike Wallace is far from your average receiver. Almost a joke that anyone would call him such. He's one of the fastest in the game, can virtually get open deep at will, and has been a pretty reliable playmaker from a number of different positions on the field.
3) And finally a pedestrian supporting cast =/= a top 5 rushing attack in the NFL. It's actually been Ryan's pedestrian 2nd and 3rd game that have hurt us more than our supporting cast. When Ryan and that pedestrian cast both sync, we've put up 30+.
A little shocked you'd lay down so quick to an anonymous, arrogant opinion coming out of GB camp.
3. The rushing game so far is a function of scheme. Without Moreno we will struggle against top talent. See: Buffalo game.
I'm not laying down for anyone.
I'm just recognizing what I've seen so far from play against better teams.
1. The WRs outside of Wallace are essentially possession WRs so far. Hopefully Landry becomes the high quality possession WR that he can be, but the rest of that group ain't scaring no one.
2. LBs so far have been average at best. The only real improvement is Jenkins. Wheeler admittedly is playing better back at his old position but McCain is a question mark and Trusnik shouldn't see the field. Tripp? who knows. Misi another
question mark in the middle.
3. The rushing game so far is a function of scheme. Without Moreno we will struggle against top talent. See: Buffalo game.
GB will be a good test.
Hope you're right and I'm wrong.

No it sure isn't, nor are the reasons people are objecting to it. Barry Jackson does this kind of story every week, anonymous sources and all. They're annoyed because the anonymous guy is being negative about our poor widdle team and because the anonymity denies them the opportunity to make an ad hominem attack. Hence the childish stamping of feet.

I wouldn't' say the whole assessment is wrong or completely off base....but I also think McGinn spent way to much time talking and focusing on the past.
He does not account for team that's been dealing with adjusting to a new offense....5 New lineman...or some untimely key injuries.
I get the feeling he way underestimates what this team is capable of doing if it is clicking....
I could look at Green Bay and their performances and fairly say outside of Rogers and a couple others...they look pedistrian and average at best.
