Jason Cole report Ross thinking about blowing up FO

Hey Ross, let me give you a hint !!!!!!!!!!

Things you learn around here. I didn't know hoops was a visor guy. My apologies if I've been overboard sometimes in regard to not appreciating the adjustments.

If you prefer visors you know what you are doing. That is a major litmus test success.

Let's see, I have at least 15 or 20 visors, including 7 Ben Hogan visors of all colors, 3 Canes visors, 2 USC visors, one Dolphins visor -- old logo, of course -- one Heat visor, and assorted others. I have a couple of generic washable visors for work around the house stuff.

USC hired a cap guy in Clay Helton. That's one of the reasons I'm skeptical and not thrilled with the move. Kiffin is a visor guy so even though he had issues I at least had confidence the school retained foundational logic. Now that is at question.

Visors are awesome if you retain full crown coverage, as I have. My hair is still wavy and no threat of a bald spot in that area. But I've lost some ground in the temples. It doesn't show with a visor so I can fool all my college buddies until I remove the visor. That's not the primary reason for adornment. Merely a bonus. So many bonuses with visors, like easier aim than with caps. They sail true when annoyed. I verified that in sportsbooks countless times.

The same paranoid types who are afraid of visors are the ones who are scared of club covers on golf irons. In fact that combo is rampant on golf boards. They are so scared of public opinion they shake right through the keyboard. No wonder they have first tee shanks.

This is why it is necessary to detour from the topic at hand. Sometimes I don't remember what that topic from the OP was, including now.

Awsi, I love your posts brother. Never change.

Keeping Tannenbaum is not a half measure. He is the one that will be able to broker the deal that Cole is talking about. Though people here around here do not believe it, Tannenbaum is a team player. Tannenbaum collecting the power for himself is not his MO.

He has great relationships around the league and among agents. Tannenbaum is a good part of this organization not a negative.

Hayden, why do you love Tannebaum so much? Was the job in New York not enough exmpl for you to see what he does to a football orginization? Yeah he picked up a few goo players byt the Jets end state by the time he was done was a joke. A freakin joke, why do you want that here? Do you know him personally or something?

I think I have hundreds of posts where I defend him, but can I give the Cliff Note version?

1. For the first time, Ross has someone that is a football man that he trusts at his side. Never has happened before. Huge development.
2. From there, I have been banging the table since 2010 that the organization needs a unified vision...from the owner to the coaching staff, the franchise is understands the vision. Tannenbaum has the ability to align a FO that has been running in different directions. He and Dawn Aponte and Matt Higgins get along and will be able to work together.
3. I did not see failure in NY. I saw a team going to two straight AFC Championship games and they put all their resources to win a Super Bowl. Sue me for saying this, but I love that attitude.
4. He is NOT a power hungry guy. Does he try to be innovative? Sure. I would not be surprised to see him "go off the grid" for a head coach. With that said, he is a team player and is respected around the league. He is an asset not a detriment in hiring a coach.

Report: Steve Ross 'torn' on whether or not chili should have beans in it.

Ross should start with himself and sell the team.

All these people asking Ross to sell the team help me with your logic? I really don't get it. What exactly do you expect to get by having Ross sell the team?

Give me a coach who can make players overachieve and I'll show you a good coach.

It's even simpler than that. Give me a coach who can coach to the strengths of his personnel and I'll show you a good coach. Give me a coach who can only win when he has the right guys to fit a scheme, and can't deviate from that scheme to be successful, regardless of roster strengths/weaknesses and I'll show you a bad coach.

Hayden, Mike Tannenbaum is not a 'football man' as you put it. He's a ****ing bean counter, and a s ****ty one at that.

Tannenbaum sucks. Sucks!!!!!! Only on this board could someone read nonsense like this. He should be fired for the Tannehill deal alone!

Hes not average...every time i watch nfl qb play around the league it just further reinforces it for me
