Jeff Fisher is Available..

If you are expecting logic on this forum you're asking too much.

Most of the coaches everyone was creaming their pants over started off slow.

If his team went 1-7 at home of course I would want him fired.

Who gives a **** about their coaching record, you are starting to sound like Nublar with that ****. First of all, you're giving way too much credit for Sparano's record. His first season was pure luck, we lucked out because David Lee brought in the stupid wildcat and we ended up with a better record than we were suppose to. We were a 5-11 team without that stupid wildcat, period. .

you are correct sir.. add that to my previous list.

moreover the 2008 Dolphins was the healthiest Dolphins team I can remember.

That year there was so much luck involved - from health, to the easiest schedule I have ever seen, to Penny arriving and leading that offense on his own working with players after practice every day, David Lee's wildcat throwing teams offguard, a plus-17 turnover ratio with all the crappy offenses we played against getting free turnovers and Penny with his smarts not turning it over, etc etc... EVERYTHING went our way that year - It had nothing to do with Sparano.

Fisher learned from the best, he was an assistant to Buddy Ryan in the bears, he was a coordinator for a very good Eagles defense in the late 80's which lead in many statistical categories in the league. And his Titans weren't that bad either defensively. You know what type of jobs would open for Sparano if he wasn't coaching the Miami Dolphins? He would be nothing more than a offensive line coach, and a terrible one at it too, just look at our offensive line. Sparano doesn't hold **** on Fisher. No GM in the league other than our own would think Sparano is a better coach than Fisher, Harbaugh or anyone else.

Who cares about records? Lmao. You seem to care. I GUARANTEE that if you were a Titans fan in the mid 90s you would be talking about Fisher the same way you are talking about Sparano now.

Only way this is Dolphins related is if Tennessee targets Nolan as their new head coach. Fisher probably is going to sit the year out and find a job next offseason. I said before if Miami doesn't make the playoffs in 2011, I think Ross will clean house. If he does he will have his pick between Fisher, Cowher and Gruden. Though I don't really anticipate a change at head coach next offseason for the Dolphins.

Quite! They might hear you. Don't give the titans any ideas. We kinda need that Nolan kid... he's pretty good at that coaching thing.

I posted this a while ago, but for some reason the thread was removed, go figure. Anyway I saw we buy out our coaches contract, and hire Fisher. He may have not had that great of a track record, but I fully believe he knows a lot more about coaching than what we have currently.
Youre post was pretty much stating the news. This one was about his past and whether we would make a run at him. There were already a few merged threads in the General NFL forum (where this really probably should belong anyway). Use the other forums people. They are there for a reason.

start giving credit to the coaches to do what it took to win... they brought in the WC because it was the best chance to get wins... sounds like good coaching to me

we have not a single position available for this guy, nor should we.

his track record speaks for itself. his tenure in tennessee with those reg season win loss records is hard to make sense of.

Um read it again, I posted the news, this is correct, but I also stated we should pay our our coaches contract, and hire Fisher etc... Hence we should " Make a move on him".

He did give credit to David Lee.. Lee brought the wildcat here from Arkansas, not Sparano.

The story goes that on the plane after the Cardinals loss, Sparano called the coaches to come up with some new ideas to jumpstart the offense. Lee suggested the wildcat, which Sparano implemented into Henning's offense. Sparano did his job as HEAD COACH to make some changes to get some wins. Can't you give even one iota of credit to the guy?

The story goes ?

you and your silly stories..

Parcells hired David lee because he wanted to revolutionize pro football.. THE dolphins spent A LOT of time on it in training camp well before the season.. the players said that... and they planned on using it all along.

save your silly stories. the team sucked in the first 2 weeks under sparano's watch and it was David Lee's ideas that brought the dolphins out of their rut.. not sparano's ideas as he has no ideas.
