Saw this on NFL Live on ESPN... no theres no :link:

Contrary to the 19.5 million offer that has been posted on this board... John Clayton reported that the Fins have actually agreed to a 21 million dollar signing bonus with Ronnie. The hold up is actually about not having enough money at the back end of the contract...

Man I wish I had the luxury to complain about that kind of money.

Did John have a sense when things would finally work out? Or did he make it sound like it could still be awhile?

I have saw in posts it's not the signing bonus, its the incentives that is holding it up.

and Travis Daniels just got a $458,000 signing bonus and he's happy to be here,I know he's a fourth round but that doesn't matter, he just wants to play...Ronnie could learn something from Travis

That is such a good point, the money these players get are rediculous, and when they complain about it makes it even more rediculous.

He didnt give off a vibe either way. But Salsbary (sp?) and Wingo said that it shouldnt last long because 1 and 3 are signed. They said they dont even know why he isnt signed yet and expect it soon...

They were sayin that it wasnt the signing bonus... that it has been agreed on already at 21 million... but that it was that there isnt enough money on the back end of the contract. Maybe the report about it being about the incentives that was posted earlier was wrong

This can be fixed.
Hopefully sooner rather then later. It would be nice to have him signed before the team takes the field tomorrow night, so he can get a full week of practice before Pittsburgh.

The "Highest" Signing Bonus for a Running Back in NFL History, Tomlinson got 20 million. Ronnie has never played a down in the NFL. He better be damn good, he better be better then Ricky or else our Cap is gonna be screwed.

With a $19 or $21 million dollar check upfront... who really gives a d*mn about the back end... sheesh..

The longer the hold out continues the more it makes Ronny look like a greedy azz
