Jonnu Smith Trade?

Yes, though our secondary has a lot of scary question marks right now, the youth that we had that showed potential last year, has one more year under their belt, Miami still could bring in a CB that can take over for Ramsey, we seem to have a D-Coordinator that seens to shows signs if a good to great one, and our front 7 might be very good this year.
The secondary wasn't terrible last year with one of the worst safety pairings in the league and Fuller missed a ton of games at CB. Once Ramsey goes it will definitely be poorer but I'm hoping we get better safety play at least and hopefully a fully healthy Chubb and Phillips will help out as well.

Also don't think it's a coincidence that they wanted to change the culture of the team and all 4 starting secondary players will shortly be off the roster. I'm beginning to think that may have been a toxic room.

With just how willing (eager?) we were to divest ourselves of all four of these guys, I'm thinking you may be right.

I'm convinced Poyer was a double agent, either that or he ate too much bark with Aaron Rodgers at the ayhuasca retreat last summer. And we'll see how much of a bang for their buck the Giants get for Holland, he hasn't looked the same since The Meth Life Turf Monster got his knees, now he gets to play on it 8 or 9 times a year. His body language last year was almost as bad as his "tackling". Those two were a huge liability last year, looking for good things from Iffy and the boys this year.

It's pretty simple to follow. The numbers in brackets are league wide rating. When Tua plays the offense is very, very good and when the backups are in it is very, very bad. It's really that simple.

Yeah, I'm confused as well. Maybe the backups are that bad that they can't just throw it accurately to option 1 all the time or maybe option 1 doesn't run good routes when the backups are in? Since we've been told multiple times Tua doesn't read defenses and just throws to a spot for option 1 maybe he's just way more lucky than the backups? It doesn't make sense to me either, it couldn't possible be because Tua is actually a very good QB.
Tua is top of the league on accuracy and anticipation. He is bottom of the league in mobility and adjustments post snap. This means he needs a very good OL and receivers that can quickly separare with hot routes when his first read is not there or when the defense is playing the disguise game.

“Adjustments post snap”… do you mean reading the defense? He’s good at reading defenses.

Not to get all rowdy about Kyle Pitts, but if that dude had a normal length neck, he’d be 6’3” instead of 6’6”.
Heh, it's true, and might help explain how he managed a 4.4 while pushing 6'6. That doesn't take away from his long arms and big hands though. He had the tools of a tantalizing prospect. I just don't think he's ever going to put it all together though.....big WR, offers little blocking, more of the same as Jonnu, but more expensive. That's a pass for me.

So Tua needs something he’s never had a very good OL? And here I’m just hoping for a average OL for the first time in his professional career.

I recently read a rumor that we are after Kyle Pitts. If that's true, I am more than willing to move on from Smith, whose long track record says he is mediocre.
With that logic, what does Kyle Pitts long track record say about him?

It says this-

"Kyle Pitts is just terrible

At some point there are only so many scheme and fit excuses you can make for a player’s lack of production. Is Kyle Pitts in an offensive system that can’t really use him? Absolutely. Has Kyle Pitts showing zero signs of trying to change his game to make it work? Also, yes.

Pitts’ long gait and slow ramp time to top speed can’t really be helped. That’s just who he is as an athlete. However, his lazy, woeful route running isn’t helping anything. Pitts has been a sub-par route runner since he arrived in the NFL, and it’s frankly stunning there’s been no improvement in this area since he entered the league.

His cuts are slow and plodding, too often stutter-stepping at the top of his route when he changes direction, making it far too easy for defenders to know where he’s going. When Pitts is running at full speed he rounds his cuts, without any of the suddenness required to fool a defender."

Yikes.
