Junior Seau passes away..RIP

Like you said, it's all about money. I just hate that Goodell is called the Commissioner when he only represents the owners in these matters.

That's all I think about when Goodell hugs the players or slaps their hands when they are drafted. If they ever heard his perspective and priorities during back room talks with the owners, somehow I doubt many of those hugs would take place.

I remember how emotional Seau was during his relatively brief Dolphin career. There was obvious bonding with veteran defenders like Jason Taylor and Zach Thomas, and hurt in their eyes when Seau was let go. Seau made passionate comments at functions like the postseason banquet. Of all the late-career short term additions to the Dolphins, Seau quickly became more of a valued and positive member of the team and community than anyone I can think of.

Earl Morrall would obviously fit in that category, but in a different era.

Boy, this is an extremely sad story. He will always have a place in our collective Miami Dolphin fan hearts. It's really sad that it came to this for him. A great, great, hall of fame player, and a suicide is unspeakably sad. RIP Junior.

Had the oppritunity to meet Junior on a handful of occasions. Seemed like a great guy. Tragic passing.

This is just horrific news. He was of course an incredible player, but really was a class act and a great team leader. I enjoyed his stint in Miami, even though the team never really met any of the expectations they had when he signed here. RIP.

Very sad for someone to end their life this way, let alone an illustrious career in the NFL. I always loved how hard the guy played, and I also wish players today would learn to tackle like he did. He is still one of the very few players that demonstrated the understanding of Football fundamentals, like wrapping up when you tackle!!!

What a bummer... Such a awesome player to watch. Wish he would have reached out for help from Family and Friends.. RIP JR.

Thanks for the memories Junior.
God has it in his Holy Glory...
