Just Relax, There's Plenty Of Qb's In Next Years Draft

Exactly, and that is why Leinart is a turd waiting to happen. JUST SAY NO TO LEINART! Take a look at the Oregon stud, Kellen Clemens, if you want to see a REAL QB!!

I think Leinart is a stud and will be a very good NFL Qb, and he would fill 2 holes because than the LT position is not as big of a need because he is left handed, and I think that the position on the Phins OL right now with the most talent is RT with McDougle and St. Clair, it's just a thought if the possibility came up of drafting him. Leinart and Jacobs are definite 1st rd picks right now, and I don't think very highly of Jacobs, but I think someone will step up from the group of Vince Young, Leak, Reggie McNeal, Chris Leak, Whitehurst, Croyle, Gradkowski. Leak and Young are both Jr's, but I do believe Young's play last year fell off because of his lack of confidence in his WR core, he did lose his top 3 WR the year before, so i'm hoping he steps it up because physically he is a beast. Not many people talked of Alex Smith before last season, and the year before Rivers was projected as a late 1st rd pick untill his Sr. Bowl practice so my guess is someone steps up.

Yeah I agree there will be plenty of QB's we can get next year. If AJ or GUs arent the awnsers.

watch what i tell you! the same ppl. trashing marcus vick on this board will be swinging his bag if the fins draft him(that is if he comes out),just think about our offense if we had a mobile qb ALA "CULPEPPER" thats what our o.c. likes.

What has Marcus Vick ever done besides happen to have the last name Vick?

Mod Note: DO NOT make the mistake of stepping over the line on issues of race here again. No further warnings.

Erik Ainge will be a sophomore and he isnt even the starter yet

erik ainge started last year until he got hurt for the year. he's listed #1 on the depth chart for this upcoming season.

marcus vick is very talented, and was highly recruted out of high school.he just made some stupid mistakes like ricky williams does and you would have him back right? So why wouldn't take the talents of a Marcus Vick.Mike Vick said out of his own mouth he's got more talent than he did at the college level. if he plays well and stays out of trouble he will shoot up the draft boards, and if he comes out maybe top five pick watch an see!

There's only one guaranteed (or as close as you can get) great QB playin ball next year, but he's only a sophmore - Brian Brohm from Louisville, and he probobly won't go pro next year.

Personally, Vince Young excites the hell out of me, regardless of when he comes out.

I watched a story on their training camp and they followed him around as he diagnosed the plays. He's an excellent sponge of knowledge and situational analysis. He's also going to great lengths to improve his passing game. He could be special.

But then again, so could've Kurt Kittner *shrugs*

Look,I Know ppl. are worried about the qb position but like saban said"HE HOPES TO HAVE AN OVER ACHIEVING TEAM". He doesn't plan on winning the superbowl this year, just show a good amount of improvement.Next year in the draft you will see some qb's on the board like a MARCUS VICK,he's been in some trouble but saban will take chances.Maybe Eric Ainge or THE QB from TEXAS.It's just a matter of time and we will be back in contention,so be patient.

Marcus Vick? The guy is a headcase and is going to have his position changed. Just because his last name is Vick does'nt mean he'll be good...hell...his brother is'nt that good either.

Vince Young from Texas? I'll pass thank you very much.

Saban will watch Feeley this year and see if he has a future.

If A.J. fails to show us anything this year I personally think Saban has a close eye on the Charger situation. If Drew Brees has another Pro Bowl type season the Chargers have a decision to make. They can't let Rivers sit around rotting on the bench. They'll have to trade one of them.

I'd take Rivers or Brees over a rookie Q.B. everyday of the week. We are not going to have a top 10 pick this year so a rookie Q.B. would be a major project.

Right plenty of good ones and you can all sit there and freak when we pass on them in round 1 for one of the 4 LT's currently ranked in the top 12 of next years draft. You want a Jonathon Ogden type next draft is 'the' chance to get one. Then Carey can be shifted inside to guard either to replace Rex Hadnot if he ends up being 'over-hyped' or can replace Jeno James to save some $$$'s.

Last I heard there was some LB and one of these tackles even rated higher then Leinart.

D'Brickashaw Ferguson, T, Virginia
Jonathan Scott, T, Texas
Eric Winston, T, Miami
Marcus McNeil, T, Auburn
Davin Joseph, G-T, Oklahoma
Andrew Whitworth, T, LSU

The first 4 are considered to be in the top 12 of current players. Joseph can be a first rounder if he makes the transition to LT. Whitworth could slide in at the end of the 1st round next year.

Go tackle then pick up a QB in the 2nd (whichever slides) or don't pick up that DT this year and work Free Agency for DT's next year and use that 3rd to move our 2nd rounder up to grab one of the sliding Qb's ala the one the Redskins grabbed this year.

Again though it all depends on how players do. For all we know Feeley plays dang good or Carey plays great at LT. We just don't know yet. However I'm really liking LT in next years draft to pair with Carey (move him to LG and cut James overpaid butt).

The problem with this statement is that I (as well as most of us) could care less about who is available NEXT year...we want to see action this year...before AJ or Gus have done anything to get us concerned about replacing them, you are looking at the future ?? I'm sure Saban will be looking at drafting a developmental QB next year. You're right..don't worry about next year...let's see how AJ or Gus do this year first..

If we give up on our current QBs and look to the 2006 draft then we more than likely will not be legitimate contenders until at least 2008. And thats assuming the QB we draft develops at an average or better pace.
Of course there is a chance we could get a "Rothlisberger" type player that is able to play immediately, but honestly....how often does that really happen?
