La Canfora: Dolphins PERHAPS facing loss of draft pick

You're being sarcastic, right?

Ozzy rules!!
Of course im being sarcastic. Martin is a **** football player and worse human. But Incog aint any better. Ill be so glad when they're gone. But something tells me our problems wont stop there. Like the pats, Hernandez kills a man. Where's all the fire Belicheat and the TE coach talk? Same with Big Raper? But Rickey Williams smokes weed and the league wants to make an example of him

OP is cranking one out right now thinking about the loss of a draft pick. It's all he can post about.

While all the other NFL reporters were busy breaking down the Wells report, Lacanfora was busy insulting the Dolphins. I'm not sure what he gets paid to do.

The fact is that the Rolling Stone Magazine did considerably more exhaustive research with corroboration (I know, what a novel concept) on the year or so leading up to the Hernandez murder - at least the latest one. It was quite damning to the Pats especially Belicheat who at most paid lip service in supporting Hernandez extricating himself from bad influences. It also included widespread knowledge of his drug abuse - including every day driving home from practice. The fact is that had the team been more hands-on and not looking the other way maybe at least one life could have been saved. Ifthe league looked away when it came to guilt by omission resulting in a homicide, then really, there's less traction by comparison to levy any serious penalties on the Fins.

Becareful Vaark....The NFL might try to pin Hernandez on us....i can see it now...Well,Hernandez played at Florida, and Gainsville is sort of close to Miami,so....the Dolphins are quilty by association.
Boom!!!Take a pick away from Miami...That will teach New England.

For what it is wroth, John Clayton expects Goodell to make a new locker room policy and will put sanctions on the Dolphins to "put teeth behind" the new rules. He didn't elaborate.

We all knew, or at least several of us knew, that the Fins would get screwed and possibly lose a pick. I would be shocked if we didn't. Fix is in.

I'm with you on this but don't be surprised if this happens.......they'll say that what Hernandez did was not in the locker room while what happen in Miami did. It's amazing to me that the reports makes no mention that I know of, of the fact that Martin was sending out text messages to Cogs too and they were just as bad.

The one good thing in the report is the part where it says that the players were NOT trying to push Martin away from football on purposed or someting to that effect. In other words, they were messing around and artin couldn't handle it but the players meant no harm so I can't believe they'd take any pics away from us other than as usual, them wanting to make an example out of us.

Ozzy rules!!

If we lose a pick I will wish Martin does carry out what he wanted to do after last season...

I would not expect Miami to lose a draft pick and here's why. Which teams have lost draft picks and for what? NO for lying to the NFL and continuing to try to injure players, and Pitt for cheating in a game. Both of those situations come from a clubs active involvement to break rules, lying about change to investigators, or physically interfering with play. Miami didn't lie, didn't get in the way of the investigation, assembled staff to address the issue, fired the GM and will fire the position coach, and generally has complied with everything from the league to help move things along. Teams don't get picks removed for trying to remedy a problem. The team isn't implicated in actively bullying players, nor did they hamper or obstruct Well or NFLPA.

We already lost of a pick.....the one we wasted when we drafted Martin. The NFL should not take another one away from us.

Ozzy rules!!

This is all true but the underlying theme of all the teams that have lost pics is that they broke the rules in an attempt to OBTAIN A COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE. They cheated to make it easiier to win. This doen't even come close to applying to our situation.
