Move on Jarvis. I know you’re hurt, but move on.

Says “I wasn’t respected” but was offered 55 million with 27 million guaranteed. LMAO.

It may be dawning on him that he has to actually play for the Cleveland Browns.

Gase pleaded with him to learn his routes.

How quickly he forgets Gase schemed him to nine TDs with Jay fricking Cutler as his QB.

The media is the one that needs to move on. Jarvis should take the high road , no comment, but we know he likes to gossip. He's turning this into a Miko/Brent type situation at this point.

Jarvis - Coach. please let me run more routes.

Gase - Now why the **** would I want you to run even more routes incorrectly? How about you learn your current routes first?

I think a lot of this is very sour grapes on Jarvis's part. Which in a lot of ways is understandable as I think we can all agree in a lot of ways the team didn't really prioritize him and felt he was replaceable.

At the same time, from everything I know about the situation (and have shared with the forum) this is not surprising. One of the reasons Miami was not willing to commit to Jarvis was they felt he was too emotionally driven. I also know that Gase had huge concerns with Landry not knowing his routes.

So to take the high road, I wish him the best as a player as he gave it his all on the field to the team, I wish he would not talk so much cause it does eventually make him look bad, and I also think he's going to find life in Cleveland very tough.

If there where more respect league wide for him. Then we would of gotten more than a 4 th rounder for him.

So if you were a GM and you knew you could have a good player at a discounted price for reasons outside of talent you would offer more out of respect for the player? I don't quite think that's how the NFL works. Unless nobody respected Robert Quinn who got traded for a 4th or Randy Moss who got traded for a 4th.

Definitely needs to move on but 5 & $55 with $27 guaranteed? Then traded him for a 4th to Cleveland? If that's not being disrespected then I don't know what is.

I think the Dolphins told him over and over again that he'd be taken care of if he did his job on the field as he was playing into the last year of his contract ... then took a giant dump on his chest.

I'm a Dolphins fan and Dolphins fan only but some of you need to take a step back and really look at this situation for what it is. Then do the same thing with Suh and hopefully realize you don't have to make excuses for ****ty decisions just because you like the team.

I think there's some real truth to what you're saying but the thing we really need to do is ignore it and move on. He's not a dolphin. Why do we care what he's saying even if you disagree with getting rid of him. It's done. Got 53 other players about to be on the team and we obsess about one who's gone.

Not directed are you Bob... just using your post as reference.

As I've said before, because that's how they get let off the hook for decisions that hurt the team. You know who really wants you to say, 'Time to move on, he's no longer on the team.'? Mike Tannenbaum. Especially concerning Suh. That was an all timer.

He got a pretty substantial contract offer, and then when he declared that he wanted more money, the Dolphins traded him to the only team that was going to pay him what he wanted.

Yeah, it was Cleveland, but he signed off on that contract. I think the guy's just got issues.

I hope the best for Landry in Cleveland and I think he will produce for them as well as he did for the Dolphins.
Landry saying that Gase restricted his routes plays right into what his current coach said about how they will be using Landry inside, outside and all over the field. He feels the love in Cleveland.
Meanwhile, Miami's strength at WR won't miss a beat.

$11 Mil per year with half of the contract guaranteed is NOT disrespecting a SLOT receiver. That is MORE than fair enough compensation given his limitations.

He was comparing himself to far superior athletes when asking for $15+ mil per, it's a joke that anyone thinks he's worth that.

5 & $55 wouldn't have even done it last season. Don't even need to get into that one.

He is too high strung and volatile and I'm fine (as I always was) with moving on but that doesn't mean the situation was handled correctly on the fins side (value, leverage, timing ... I could write a book here) nor does it mean Landry is wrong. He just needs to shut up.

For anyone complaining about the team "disrespecting" Landry with a low contract, that's how a negotiation works! The Dolphins offer 11, Landry says 15, and they meet at 13! From everything I've read, Landry wouldn't accept anything less than 15, which is more than the Dolphins were willing to pay, so they traded him to a team that would pay him what he wanted.
Juice got the money he wanted and needs to stfu and move on.

Unfortunately, it's the media's job to report what comes out of his mouth, not do defacto censorship. IMO this is on Mr. Landry.

You know what that sound is?

Peace and Quiet when the baby is not around.

    Well worth it, imo!

Now he can run all the routes and everything else he feels he's entitled to in Clevland.

    Good Luck.

Jarvis needs to stop talking. He's playing for another team now. Nobody cares what he says now about the Phins. Hes gone plus he's making himself sound bitter. He needs to concentrate on his new team and ignore any goading by the press.

same thing i have been saying all offseason...

i don't fault Jarvis for wanting to get every dollar he can. these guys have a limited time playing and have every right to get every dollar they can. Jarvis decided money was more important than anything else and he found it on the worst team in the NFL. he didn't want to take less money to play on a better team so he needs to suck it up and move on. he choose to be a Cleveland Brown for better or worse and he needs to live with his decision. blaming others for his decision is just childish.

I don't recall any bitching to the media while he was here.

The more we talk about it the more there is a reason for the media to report stories like this ... so I guess I'll do my part and bow out so we can discuss actual football news as the season nears.

Good to hear both sides of the story, dont trust Tbum either to do the right thing for us either, Jarvis good side was he could fire up the team with his emotions, the downside is also is Jarvis gets emotional over reacts in some cases. Regardless of which side of Jarvis you are on the season is about to start and that should tell us how much Jarvis will be missed and our opinions wont mean much when the action starts only the performance on the field. Time to chill.

I think the thinking is more about demand driving up prices. If more GMs valued Landry, the Dolphins presumably would have been able to demand better trade compensation. A lot of factors play in to this, of course, and I'm not convinced respect is among them. In my opinion, the biggest factor by far is that most teams valued Landry at or below where the Dolphins did. Landry was just asking more than what most teams saw as a reasonable salary for a productive slot receiver. Time will tell whether Landry or most of the league was right. The Browns are known league wide for being smarter than the rest of the league, so they have that going for them.
