Ricky's agent, Leigh Steinberg, is on the Dan Patrick show right now on ESPNRadio.

Not too much is being said.

-Ricky denies any drug use and would never put himself back in that situation.

-Loves playing for the fins, has a great relationship with Saban and teammates.

-Stated that whoever leaked the story ("league official") deserves to be fired and that this is not the program the Player's Association agreed too. Had they known that violations to the confidentiality agreement, the union would have never agreed to it.

-Would not answer what their defense is in their appeal process. Said that is exactly the type of question that leads to leaks.

-Reiterated that he believes (as does everyone in the organization) that Ricky has not used drugs since the day he decided to come back.

-Said we would know if Ricky used again because Ricky is the type of guy that talks about it. Criticized Ricky when he was using in the past. Ricky was tested thouroughly throughout the season with no problems.

Eh. Not much said but it is good to hear someone speaking out on it that is involved. He made it pretty obvious that he was unhappy with the leak and that it damages Ricky's rep. Adamant about whoever the mole was should be fired and hinted that it might have been someone from the Bronco's camp. "Look at where the report cam from and connect the dots."

Discuss.

Good stuff, i completely think that ricky will come out of this in a month or two, and be reinstated to play at the beginning of the season. IM sure it was just a supplement or some vitamin he is taking.

That is good to hear that Ricky is somewhat defending himself. Whether it's through Leigh Steinburg or not.

Wow..you mean someone with actual knowledge giving us insight?????

WITCH!!!! BURN THE WITCH!!!! HE DENOUNCED RUMORS!!! WITCH!!!!!!!!

Thanks good stuff.....I hope everything goes well for Ricky and he's playing for the Dolphins in 2006

Ricky is innocent. I agree the person that leaked the report should be fired. Confidental doesnt mean "tell the press". I dont care if its freaking Shanahan. (spelling?)

Wasn't this one! I believe a man has a right to due process.

Edit: BTW..I've seen much speculation around here on should we trade Ricky. Now with this happening and his trade value at 0 it just occured to me that this may be Steinbergs way of insureing Ricky stays where he feels most comfortable. With the Dolphins! maybe it's a well hatched plan by Agent and Player. (S.E.G)

dang, I was going to make a mint by going on talk shows and talking about the close friendship we had....:(

I still think he is innocent. When he was caught before he came out and said yeah, I did it. Now he is denying it so I am inclined to believe him.

Interesting comment...I can see the correlation..but it's hard to really come to that conclusion because you or I don't really know RW personally. I'd feel better about makign that assumption IF I knew him...

Innocent till proven guilty, my friends. Something stinks about the entire way this went down, and the truth will eventually be told!

Even if thats the case...he's done for a year....the NFL doesn't differentiate between weed and an herbal supplement that is on their list of banned substances...It is up to the players, especially ones that are in Ricky's situation, to know everything that they are putting in their body.

I don't want this to happen anymore than the next Dolphin fan, but I don't think its looking too good for #34. Either way, I hope they find a way to sue the crap out of someone...whether it be the Broncos, the NFL, the NFLPA...These types of leaks undermine the entire purpose of the agreement and could totally wreck a player's worth....Even if this proves to be false, and Ricky is exonerated, it still diminishes his worth by reminding everyone of the predicament that he's in in the first place.
