Leinart

Tim Hasselbeck can't carry Feeley's jock...that's scary.

Everyone has their own opinion, but I do NOT see Leinhart as anything close to a sure thing. He reminds me of Todd Marinovich without the stupidity. I just don't see anything worthy of the #1 overall pick, not even mentioning trading up to get him <shiver>

did you see him throw in college?

he would toss teh football like hes throwing a wad of paper in to the trash can, but the football would go 40 yards.

i was saddened when he was drafted by the pats. :shakeno:

i thaught he was gunna be a good NFL QB with an arm and his size.
I thought that arm angle of throwing was very unorthodox.

Nope, I would choose Vince Young rather than him. Besides I thought I heard someone say before that he didn't want to be a dolphin.

leinart is not that good.. im not even sweating him next year... i mean i think hell be a good qb but not any one special.. so i say we keep our picks and keep inmproving

Are you banking on AJ to do a Drew Brees turnaround?

I would like to depending where we pick in the draft and what we would have to give up.

..........Ryan Leaf?

agreed.

think about it.

we'd have to give up atleast both of our next two first rounds, plus a couple more of our 06 picks, it would be idiotic. you dont give tht all up for someone who could ryan leaf just as easily as he could payton amnning.

even if we 4-12 again im not sure if the gamble (and massive qb contract) is worth it.

For all the people saying that Leinart is not that good, he would have been the consensus number 1 pick had he came out this year. I think Vince Young has more potential but he's also gonna take more time, I would be willing to trade up for him.

saban likes getting draft picks and not giving them away. so i dont think he likes to trade up cause we would lose picks which is something is doesn't like.

Can Vince Young even throw the ball all I've ever seen him do is run...

At least this discussion proves that there is a concern over our quarterback position, which needs to be addressed by AJ "maybe" Brees, or through the draft, or just pick up the real Drew Brees next year.
