Tough to say without seeing how the year plays out. At this point MLB would be #1 for me, OL would be #2.
Of Edmondson works out yes, I agree.Hell no to 1st Rd RB, give me CB, Pass Rusher, best Olineman available
I'm all for it.If we have a late round pick 1a,(our pick) why not pick the best rb, and use 1st pick from San fran on BPA or LB.
I get that, but it would be great to have a pro bowl rb for 4-7 years.I'm all for it.
I just don't think it's our team's MO.
We (greatly) value most other positions over RB.
Who is this Edmondson you speak of?Of Edmondson works out yes, I agree.
Brother of Edmonds. LolWho is this Edmondson you speak of?
Neither of those are considered high value positions. I guess it would depend where exactly our 2 picks fall, but if we get say a top 10 pick via SF, I doubt those would be the selection.Top RB and off ball LB.
Punter, long snapper?Neither of those are considered high value positions. I guess it would depend where exactly our 2 picks fall, but if we get say a top 10 pick via SF, I doubt those would be the selection.
You can't improve on Morsted and Turd Ferguson!Punter, long snapper?
Agree. Maybe, if our pick is 31/32, and superman falls to us. Other than that, no Rd1 RB for me.I want to see what McDaniel does with our backfield this year. Don't want a RB in the 1st round.
BPA is a flawed concept at best, an imaginary one at worst........BPA for both, excluding QB.
Highest ranked player on our draft board!BPA is a flawed concept at best, an imaginary one at worst........
When your system is based on RB by committee like McDaniel prefers, I doubt you will see a first-round investment in one, either. Circumstances has already made that point by pointing to Edmonds as a guy they targeted in FA this year. They have a really experienced group in the RB room, and I think they will tweak it next year with at best one of their two 3rd round picks at the earliest. But even then, they may opt to draft one later. Think of the cost factor in putting your resources into a RB like Christian McCaffery, Saquon Barkley, or Derrick Henry, only to lose them early on where you had based your offensive philosophy around them in the off-season prior to the games being played. Can't see it.
I think Edmonds will have a stellar year for us, but even if he flies into space at some point I don't see us using a first rounder on RB.
MAYBE if one of our picks is last 3 or 4 in the round and some amazing prospect somehow falls there, but even then unlikely.
