Main reason not to start Tannehill: the WR's

Remember this, a young QB's best friend is the TE. For as much flak as Fasano gets around here sometimes, he's been a consistent asset to have in the passing game. Charles Clay has also shown that he can be usefull. We have yet to see what Egnew gives us so I won't include him.

Throw in an involved one of, if not the, top Slot WR (a position Tanny really targeted while at A&M) in Davone Bess, and a great receiver out of the backfield in Reggie Bush (maybe Lamar Miller as well) and you have safety options. Hell throw a healthy Hartline as an adequate option at WR.

Now that's not a good core, and honestly with that group we will have to rely on a lot of dink and dunk passing and smoke and mirrors, but we do have sure handed guys to get Tanny's confidence up. We just don't have BIG play guys.
 
Wallace did more with the backups than Chad Johnson did with the starters in the first pre-season game.
 
We're not making the playoffs. Let Tannehill grow some chemistry with the young WRs. We have nothing to lose.
 
RG3 is throwing to Chris Cooley, Santana Moss, Pierre Garcon, and former Miami Dolphins practice squad member Anthony Armstrong.

If they are throwing him out there with those guys we should throw Tanne out with ours.

You serious....

Cooley if not injured is one of the NFLs best TEs, Moss has been more than decent with crap QB options, and garcon has shown huge ability to make big plays even with the dropsies with crap QBs, also armstrong as a 4th-5th option has shown more than glimpses..

Im fine with throwing Tannehill out there seeing how he made pruitt and wallace look like NFL WRs, but to compare the groups is absolutely ridiculous in every sense of the word, unless you were joking

You know your team is not going anywhere when Legedu Nanee is your third option.... This WR group is the worst I've ever seen, only Bess would have a shot at making the New England squad.

you keep listning to the media. But I will keep watching Wallace, Pruitt, Clay, Fasano, Naanee, and Bess move the chains. This offense does not need chad johnson. Your just a media whore piling on the BS

yeah, RT said Bess is the best damn route runner of the bunch so he knows. He was killing it with Clay, Wallace and Pruitt the other night. makes no sense.
 
We finally draft a QB and now dudes want to bury him on the depth chart and hide him on the bench.

Run his ass out there for the entire first half against Carolina and find out what he is.

We need to know right now if this kid sucks or not.

Personally, I think he's the goods. Put him out there and let him play. Why else did we draft him.

The NFL has made it too easy to stick a rookie QB under center and watch him succeed. We need to take advantage of that.

If Tannehill is GREAT he'll make those scrub receivers that we have good.

Although I agree with both of you, We ARE Dolphin fans. A lot of us are QB gun shy after years of false hope. Tannehill is our first child after several miscarriages.

We have watched one pre-season game. What the hell is wrong with some of you? No one said we were going to be contenders this year. Let players develop and I believe we will find our WR's. Wallace will show up, Pruitt was definitely an eye opener, and a rookie will blossom. Also, I believe this may help Gates stay on the team, I really believe this kid has some sick talent. So give this team a chance, as for the OP's opinion about RT, I believe he starts the season. Just my opinion. Things are looking up.

So run Tannehill out there and if he sucks, abort his ass.

Im not saying if he sucks in a preseason game get rid of him, I'm saying let him play. Find out what you have now. Don't wait two years and then find out he sucks. Everyone talks about how Rodgers benefitted from sitting behind Favre. Well we don't know that. Maybe they could have put Rodgers out there several years earlier and today he has two or three rings in Green Bay.

So find out what you have. Andrew Luck played the entire first half yesterday. I know Tannehill isn't in Luck's league, but find out what he's capable of today.

And if he fails, there's always abortion.

Everyone you just named is a lot better than anyone that we have...not sure who you think sucks out of those guys (not Anthony Armstrong)
Also Fred Davis is a pretty solid TE.

Our guys, are scrubs with potential....
