Be extremely grateful if they get a conditional 7th
I would rather do a player trade for a second string G/C.

Just cut his ass already. If he stayed on the team it would just be a huge circus. He would also be a pariah in the lockerroom and he might just kill himself because of that. We don't need this drama continuing.

This post has a lot of merit. Doesn't matter if he wants to come back or whatever, he has a massive upper hand legally. He can actually sue for lost wages for all the years of his expected playing lifespan. And if he instead tries to join a team and doesn't, it could get worse then. He can sue Miami and the NFL. I have no idea why some think this thing is done.

I'm actually starting to think Jonathan Martin could be back with the Dolphins in 2014.
Miami could give Martin one more shot with cleaned up locker room, see if he can play & tell his teammates to suck it up, it is what it is.
If there's a chance Martin can play in reformed environment, he's cheap option over the next two years ($1.87 million over next two seasons)
Even if Miami gets rid of Martin, he counts for almost $1 million against cap in 2014. So from pure cap standpoint, makes sense to keep him.
There is something you are forgetting, Martin quit on the team without notice therefore violating the terms of his contract. The Miami Dolphins are the ones who has a case against Martin if they want to recoup the remaining portion of the signing bonus they gave Jon.

Except that the NFL's report confirms workplace harassment. The Fins and the league would like to avoid that lawsuit, and if Miami sues Martin, they force the harassment case into court.unfortunately there are more bleeding hearts that would care about his hurt feelings than a contract...
His issue was never with opposing players. His issue was with a small group of teammates. In the event Martin does play again for another team, I can't wait to see his reaction to the trash talk opposing players will give him. He will cry, literally cry.
