agree that Ross should've never left matters to the 'help'; he leaves town, and two major applicants find work elsewhere... because why? the Boss wasn't around to seal the deal? he told them to do that. nothing better than coming home to a clean house

Certainly it's possible. With Lazor and McAdoo signing elsewhere so quickly it almost seems like Miami told them we had decided on an OC and it wasn't them so they move on. We shall see.
 
This a blow. The way I figure it is McAdoo gave us the courtesy of an interview we didn't give him an immediate offer so he went with the offer he had on the table.

The fact that McAdoo got back on the plane and took the Giants job tells me:

1) Joe told him he was going to offer someone else the job (I hope this is true).
2) McAdoo didn't like the opportunity and decided to go elsewhere.

If 2 is true, it means that he didn't want to come work for his friend. That's a big red flag.

Basically right now the only reason for optimism with this news is that today's development of Caldwell getting the Lions job maybe means that another coach (let's call him "Larry") communicated that he'd be available.
 
Good we can get kubiak and the biggest obstacle is off the board
 
How about this. Joe knew he wasn't gonna hire McAdoo. He did him a favor by interviewing him..so he would get the best offer from the other teams. I dont think McAdoo was their guy all along.

Folks, this team has NO GM and the HC is a lame duck. The Fins are going to get sloppy seconds.

Ken O'Keefe is the only guy on the Dolphins staff I know of who has previously been an offensive coordinator. And he wasn't good at it. These are not good developments today.

At this point who's on the market? Norv Turner? Kyle Shanahan? Gary Kubiak?

I think you know who my preference is. :lol: Just don't think we'll get him.
