Marvez: McAdoo to take Giants OC job

I wouldn't kill myself over Shanahan, actually I still rather him than McAdoo personally.

McAdoo coached Aaron Rodgers when Rodgers was already good, Philbin & McAdoo would have been an awful combo.

You can actually make a claim Shanny was good when with Kubs in Houston and that Bob plain sucked in DC.

The fact that McAdoo got back on the plane and took the Giants job tells me:

1) Joe told him he was going to offer someone else the job (I hope this is true).
2) McAdoo didn't like the opportunity and decided to go elsewhere.

If 2 is true, it means that he didn't want to come work for his friend. That's a big red flag.

Basically right now the only reason for optimism with this news is that today's development of Caldwell getting the Lions job maybe means that another coach (let's call him "Larry") communicated that he'd be available.

IMO the Giants probably didn't offer him or they may have increased their offer once they heard about Fins interview & Ravens interest. Armando tweeted out that Fins had no chance one Giants made offer. He probably saw how weak the NFC east is and he has an established QB in Manning and Coughlin set to retire In a year or 2.

But Manning would make an awful WCO QB IMO.

Folks, this team has NO GM and the HC is a lame duck. The Fins are going to get sloppy seconds.

I see the sky is falling again today.

Why don't we see who gets hired before we inch closer to the ledge. McAdoo was a QB coach and while I think he would have been acceptable, most on this site seem to prefer Chud or Kubiak. So why all the doom and gloom with McAdoo going to the Giants? Isn't that a good thing if you prefer one of the other candidates?

Kubiak is second to none

Get back to me when he actually interviews.

Kubiak would be a nice selection. I have no issue with Kyle Shanahan. However, Shanahan will be considered sloppy seconds.

I forgot Chud is on the market. He and Norv Turner are both good OCs, but they do not run a WCO.

You understand that Miami is not a desirable spot for a lot of the candidates. Kubiak is going to command big money and a bigger commitment in terms of contract. He does not need to coach next year. Plus, Baltimore is a better spot than Miami currently.

I like how people automatically think Kubiak is going to be the guy now…I would jump on that idea until you see it happen.

Already did last week your behind the eight ball

I find it funny that all of these posters are coming with reasons Joe could not land his guy. Here is what is funny…if you are a Joe supporter, you should blame Steve Ross. Tell me that Joe is not sitting there saying that he would not be in this spot if he was not forced to fire Mike Sherman. So funny the actions that management takes and how if blows up. All good decisions are made in the absence of management.

joe flacco is not an athletic qb fit for kubiaks system...if he wants the right move athlete fit he will roll with us and tannehill who can execute the wide stretch play action and handle all the movement and roll responsibilities not to mention throw on the hoof like a boss...

There is no evidence he has interviewed. It has not been announced by the team. Do not give me Dave Hyde's Tweet or that Adam Schefter said he is on "the radar".

John Harbaugh vs. Joe Philbin…who has more job security? Who has the more stable organization. Kubiak, if he had a choice, is not going to make a decision based on bootleg ability of a QB.

I think Kyle Shanahan has done some good things.

True but the Ravens job has a lot more stability than ours
