Marvez: McAdoo to take Giants OC job

We don't trust reports now? And Ray farmer wants to be here. Would be a great hire. I get you Don't like philbin but it's very attracTive to candidates. Stop the doom and gloom maybe if we hire somebody and it's someone you don't like

hopefully he makes a decision on what qb fits his system the most...if not oh well...he already had a below average move athlete qb in matt schaub i doubt he wants another one...but flaccos arm does help the sell i guess if he went that route...

the head coach stability thing i don't think matters...security wise...kubiak can find an oc job anytime he wants to in the league...he's a proven commodity there

Let's see the reaction around here when Kevin O'Keefe gets an interview….

Dave Hyde clarified on Twitter and said that Kubiak hasn't been INTERVIEWED. He's been spoken to, presumably either on the phone, or by Mike Sherman as an intermediary.

And yes, Hayden, this is a bad development. I am in full agreement with you that this situation sucks, and if we wind up scraping the bottom of the barrel for an OC, it will be the fault of Ross for this whole mess.

The Kubs interview might or might not be real nobody but him, Phailbin, Aponte and Ross know whether it is or not.

Thank you for clearing up whether he was interviewed or not. Seriously.

One of the things Miami has done this offseason I like is the transparent approach and they have announced all their interviews/candidates.

Sherm might not be so bad in the end.

I would defend a Kyle Shanahan pick, however.

I same as Hayden, think Shanny wouldn't be as awful a hire as everyone makes it out to be and would still be better than McAdoo IMO.

I think McAdoo was either told he wasn't getting the job or offered a boatload of money by the Giants cause there's no way he can field a WCO offense with Manning on the field.

You understand that Miami is not a desirable spot for a lot of the candidates. Kubiak is going to command big money and a bigger commitment in terms of contract. He does not need to coach next year. Plus, Baltimore is a better spot than Miami currently.

I like how people automatically think Kubiak is going to be the guy now…I would jump on that idea until you see it happen.

I don't subscribe to the Miami isn't a desirable spot theory, nor do I think that a QB coach who has never been an OC getting hired by another team as a first time OC is a reason to cease being optimistic about the changes taking place with the Phins.

We wanted Sherman gone....and he is gone. Most of us feel that any of these candidates would be an upgrade over what we witnessed in 2013....so keep your chin up! You might be pleased with whoever ends up getting hired.

For the record, I don't know if Kubiak is a candidate or not.....but after reading all of the predictions of "Mangini" being the guy, I think I would be a bit hesitant to talk about other peoples predictions.

The article quotes Dave Hyde. I do not believe it. He is the only saying they sat down for the interview. The Fins have been transparent through this entire offseason search and Kubiak is the ONE interview they do not make public?

Kubiak gave the Phins a copy of his EKG. They interviewed him. They kept quiet about it because he was interviewing as head coach in Detroit. Kubiak makes the most sense...and McAdoo agreeing this fast with NY..tells me a decision has already been made.

I hope that either Kubiak or Shanahan impressed in the interviews because 2 very good candidates in McAdoo and Lazor got snapped up today. This exposes the danger of taking too long to make a decision. I expect that Kyle Shanahan gets the nod if he can work well with Joe. Remember McAdoo was the guy Joe wanted on his staff from the getgo.

Just went on Twitter there's no mention of that can you link
