From reading Saban's book, I remember him being really high on the type of leader Davey is. Other than that, I don't know if he thinks he can help us.

Im not really sure why everybody is getting so excited about this guy. Ok he played for Saban at LSU, but so did a couple hundred other guys and nobody is talking about any of them. Personally I think we have a damn good quarterback in Sage. I think If given a fair shot, Sage could unseat Feeley or Frerotte...but then again I dont thats really hard to do the way they have been playin all pre season. What do you guys think??

Tucker I would like to give you your very own Dee Dee Dee award!!! A backup his whole career, do you even know who Cassels backed up?!?!? Lets see what were those guys names.......Oh yeah Carson Palmer and Matt Leinart. Wait .....I know theres something Im forgetting.......Oh yeah they BOTH HAVE HEISMAN AWARDS!!! To detract from a guy because he couldnt supplant 2 Heisman winners gets you the Dee Dee Dee award of the day!

Couple of hundred other guys ? How many of them QB's? Remember Saban slamming his last LSU QB as 'not that good' during his introduction press conference.
Sage is not the answer unless we only plan to play scrimages or preseason games. In those, he seems to excel. SkapePhin hit the proverbial nail on the head concerning Sage.
IMO, Feeley can't get past the mental mistakes. You can correct technique but you can't make a QB smarter.

CashInFist said:Man, I usually agree with almost everything you say, but I have to disagree with this one. Just your last six words. I think you CAN make a QB smarter. How do you get smarter? Through teachers. That is what our coaching staff will (soon) be known for. Feeley will learn here, IMO.
