TO is a prick and a backstabber. Donovan used to have him over his house all the time last year. He lobbied big time for the Eagles to bring him in, and look what TO did to him.
Yeap some teammate. You help him come to the team, befriend him & give him a new start & all it took was for you to play a poor game in the SB for him to turn on you.

So abandoning your team is more excusable than not getting along with your quarterback?

Not sure I agree with that.
Its the way the thing with TO went down. I guess its his arrogance that pissed me off. The whole i'm bigger than the league, bigger than the team thing he has going on. Ricky quitting, i agree is along the same lines of headcase...he just doesn't have that screw you swagger about him.

I distinctly remember a 49er game where Garcia threw a TD pass, it was for less than 15 yards to another WR and TO went to the sideline screaming & yelling.

I think there is a huge difference. Ricky, for all his peculiarites is a very sharp, intelligent, polite, well spoken guy. He got in trouble for drugs which a lot of other players have as well. TO is a prick and a backstabber. Donovan used to have him over his house all the time last year. He lobbied big time for the Eagles to bring him in, and look what TO did to him.

And decided to let the team know at the worst possible time. Didn't give us a chance to get a replacement in here. Led to the worst season in franchise history.

Yeah, real polite.

I live in Philly (The Pit of Ignorance) and I'm happy the Eagles fans are suffering right now simply because Eagles fans are the worst fans in the history of sports. I personally think TO wants to play in Miami because his stupid show airs out of Miami 790 The Ticket. Let me tell you he is good but he is a virus to any organization he is a part of. No way should we trade Ricky for TO

No doubt about it. I think it's his arrogance that pisses me off as well. I can't stand the guy, he's a huge *******.

Good post.

He's not a team player because he doesn't get along with ONE player on the team? I can't agree with that.

It's obviously personal between McNabb and Owens, and I'm not going to try and pretend I know what went on behind closed doors. Did Owens really throw McNabb under the bus for only a poor performance? Or was there more to the situation?
From my understanding he has not been speaking to anyone or very few in the lockerroom. Of course I do not know for sure.

Also a WR who is a team player would be speaking to the QB to make them more perpared for the next game. You do not have to be friends to work together, but a QB & WR need to talk about their job.

If something happened behind closed doors then TO should have left it there, but TO knows that the more he is in front of the camera the better chance he has in getting a gig after his playing days.

Basically TO is trying to be Deion.

Blame the replacement on RS/DW. What happens if RW blows a knee out in game 1. They should have had a backup in place.

This is speculation of course, but i'd be surprised if anybody on the Eagles team gave 2 sh!ts about TO. It is clearly McNabbs team...they respect him.

Owen's has got a problem with McNabb but some how he'll be satified with Ferotte?:shakeno:

I'll be shocked if we ever see Owens in an Eagles uniform again. He's going to have to be traded because he's completely burned the bridge with this team and his teammates. If the Eagles are smart, they'll try to get a power running back in return for Owens. However, if the Randy Moss trade is any barometer, the market for a talented but troublesome receiver may be limited.

Question: Would you trade our power running back (RW) in exchange for a talented but troublesome reciever (TO)? Is there anything else Philly could provide to sweeten the deal that would tip your opinion?
I know the contract disparity between the two is huge. (for the sake of this response - let's set that aside)

at first this wuold seem like a joke. But philly looks like they want to unload him for anything. IF philly was smart they would try to trade for a workhorse back. Ricky could fit the bill but he also has his own issues. TO will not wear a eagles uniform again. This will be similiar to the keyshawn johnson incident when he didnt play the rest of the year

philly will be looking to get anything they can. And hey we got ronnie brown so we can trade ricky williams. THey would be forced to take a shot at ricky because anything at this point for TO would be good for them

My whole problem with this situation is that it takes two to tango. Owens is getting ripped on by everyone, and McNabb comes off like his **** doesn't stink in the media. I hate both of them, but it doesn't seem right.

And if it's indeed true that NO ONE likes Owens in that locker room, than I can see where alot of you are coming from. But I'm going by only what I know of the situation, and there has never been any indication that the rest of the Eagles hate T.O.

Just seems like Owens is getting the raw end of this deal...

great thats what we need for TO to be a dolphin and say man gus sucks how can a loser like him be throwing me the ball and ruin eveything in the locker room no way in hell i take TO even if the eagles released him and he wanted to sign here F@!! all that dumb ****.

I briefly met TO at a Party earlier this year. He was approachable (OK I was with a Playmate - Deanna Brooks!). He gave us an interview and was generally a decent enough guy. I think he's a controversial guy who speaks his mind and that gets him into trouble. I know he's a great competitor and gives 100% on the field. It's his emotional side that gets causes the majority of his problems.
Ricky is much more introspective. He has a different set of emotional issues that (since his return) he seems to have gotten under control. Ricky also gives everything to being a football player. He got into a situation with his prior drug use which caused him to abruptly retire aside from that he's been a model NFL citizen.
As far as a trade goes TO isn't what the Fins need. If we could parlay a three team deal and end up with a Qualtiy Starting QB then fine - go for it. Outside of that I'm happy to have Ronnie and Ricky...

No one will trade for TO and give up more than a 5th or 6th Rd. pick, because the team will have to let him go after year 1, because he will start this process over again.

He is not worth the price tag, especially being 33 years old.
