One of the things that I think we are losing as a country is the ability to have a civilized discourse where the two parties have opposing views. Now if we meet someone we don't agree with it's "off with his head" (sorry, banish the poster).

nyjunc is actually one of the more reasonable opposing posters (I will not use the word "enemy", this ain't a war) I have run across. He admits the weak areas of his team which he loves. I don't begrudge him loving his team. I respect him for it.

There is only one effective way to shut up an opposing poster and unfortunately it is not under our control. That is if and when the Fins beat said opposing team into submission. And it only lasts until the next game. Odds are Fins will not beat everybody this year so someone will be able to crow over our beloved Fins. Such is life.

Make intelligent refutations of an opposing poster, but don't bleat that they should go away. That only proves their point. People only want to ban what they can't defeat head-to-head.

When have we ever had the ability to have a civilized discourse between two parties with opposing views in the history of this country? Hell, even in the history of the human race???

Going over to another teams Message board and praising your team and disrespecting the others is not gonna get the other teams fans to say any good about the team there team faces in one day lol Yeah a lot of comments are rude and disrespectful and mostly hateful but I bet you can look and find some good comments just as on this site. I think some of the fin fans that went over there could have been a bit more respectful.

This may upset some people b/c there are alot of great fans on this board but Miami and Atlanta are terrible pro sports towns that have hard times selling tickets to any pro events- in Miami they even have problems selling UM football tickets as great as they have been through the years.

Means nothing to this out of town fan who doesn't give a damn about the Miami Hurricanes.

Not hard to figure out, they're Falcons fans. Of course they're clueless, and trash everything not related to Atlanta. Unfortunately for them, reality is really going to bite them in the *** this weekend, when they find out who's really sporting a "weak *** defense."

You fail to mention that you have been trolling our boards, and pretty much dogging our team out ( you are not the only one). There are fans on all message boards that have fans that are clueless, and I have seen plenty of post on here saying that you guys will destroy us. I think that game will be close, but we have only lost 3 home openers since 2000,in 2002 we lost straight up, in 2003 that was the year Vick was injured, and the last one was in 2007 when the Vick dog fighting incident happened.

The Falcons have some of the worst fans I've ever seen. Their average fan seems like the delusional ones that the rest of any other fanbase wishes would go away.

I watched the game they played against Baltimore in the playoffs, they play very good Run D and Turner could Struggle, but Joe Flacco was picking them apart, I think we need to set up the Run with the pass in this game, go play-action early and often in this game

As far as idiotic quotes go I like this one. Flacco was horrible that game and no one even bothered to call him out on his obvious lie.

Uhh, I don't know what posts you're reading but the ones that I've seen have been pretty conservative with point spreads averaging one touchdown or less. We even have a few guys in here saying we'll lose. Try not to play the victim in here, we're giving you guys credit whether you want to admit it or not. May the best team win.

Here is Atlanta's tradition, they finally make it to one Superbowl and one of their star players and NFL man of the year gets busted for prostetution. Deion Sanders, the Brett Favre trade to the Packers, the Dirty Bird, and the "Grits Blitz" defense of the 70's. There, I have just hilighted all of Atlanta's so called "tradition" in its pathetic 43 year existance. Tradition, now that is freaking funny! That being said, it should be a great game between 2 teams on the rise Sunday, with the Phins winning in the last few minutes on another Penny drive!

im basing it on we have one of the best defences in the league joey porter had 17.5 sacks last year alone thats more than your whole team had almost and now we have jason taylor the active most qb sack master in the game who are you going to double team it's going to be a long day for ryan dont belive me just watch the game ......:up:

I love this saying, bcause it is so over used and so dead wrong! It doesn't matter in the sense that everyone is 0-0 right now, however if you had a good offense or defense last year, it will definitely affect this year. If you have something that was good, there is a much better chance it will still be good.
