MERGED: Dustin Keller Injury Thread

well it's official: the Texans are my most hated non-divisional team in the NFL. **** texas.

Everyone seems to be parroting that the hit happened at the knee. It was on the thigh. Looked just below mid-point.

Love how we are so bad on offense lol.. Tannehill has 106 a rating this preseason vs starters non the less. Hope keller is okay! He is a huge piece of the puzzle here

Geesus people, he got injured. It wasn't on purpose, I really doubt ANYONE in the NFL is seriously trying to go out and purposely injure someone, especially after everything that happened with the Saints(which is bull**** - anyone that supports that should have been banned from football). Those saying the 1st team shouldn't have been out there, when do you play them? Do you sit them on the sidelines the entire preseason so they gain no chemistry in game situations? Injuries happen, it's part of football. We weren't the only team to have someone carted off today.

He's done for the season, which is unfortunate because he really is a great player, and would have opened up our passing game this year, but good teams can bounce back from injury and persevere. I wish Keller the best in recovery.

While Keller was the most promising TE on the roster, I still like Sims, Clay, Egnew and Miller. Miller and Sims give you two traditional all-around TE's, while Clay and Egnew in theory give you two athletic TE's. The entire group is unproven, but I think TE was one of the deepest positions on the roster.

Gruesome injury. Coming from a Pats fan I hope someone steps up to fill Keller's role or you make the offence work without him. I'm excited for this season and hope you guys give us a run for the division!

What? I'd rather wipe the face of the division and be 6-0 against the Pats/Jets/Bills.

as a defensive coordinator I can say that dbs are being taught to hit the thigh boards. imo it wasn't an illegal hit. he just happened to hit his leg as soon as he planted. im still pissed but it is apart of the game

I understand the injury looked bad and he very well could be done for the year but it is pretty comical when you hear somebody say "I saw the injury, that's a torn ACL". It very well could be but can we wait until the MRI is done and we get official word? All of this speculation to the type of injury is premature.

It's like we are fearing the worse to lessen the blow or something.

Have you ever seen that exact injury happen the exact way it did and it not be a torn ligament? If so, please let us know. Every time I've ever seem that, with a player reacting like that...torn ligament. By the end of the game Philbin seemed to know what was up, as did all the players who spoke.
