MERGED: For once and for all Brown no backup...

There you go again, silly rabbit.

Ronnie Brown started 6 games last year. And he was in on more downs than the Caddylack.

What does this have to do with what you quoted me on. which was that Brown admitted that he was not the starter.

Dude you have to stop this. You wanna compare Stats? Sure Williams had more rushing attempts, but brown had 313 Recieving yards compared to Carnell's 152. Brown averaged 6 yards a carry compared to Carnell's 4.9. They were partners, and no real starter. Brown is the better of the two, and you need to stop with these threads.

The stats you listed have nothing to do with who started. Ronnie Brown was used at WR everyone knows and admits that. the debate is who was the starting RB. the Stats the other guy listed prove Caddy played RB more making him the Starter and Brown the Backup.

You are talking talent not starter and backup witch is what this thread is about.

No, I am saying that being so talented was what led to Ron Brown's downfall in taking most of the snaps at RB. He was to valuable at FB or the slot.

I have no problem you calling Caddy the starter, but Brown was not the backup, because when he was not starting at RB, he was somewhere else starting for the benefit of the team.

Now according to OZ (Very respected person around here), Browns actually started 6 games, which now throws the entire theory out the window of Caddy being the starter.

Tells you that Brown was a starter.....can't be a backup and starter at the same time.

Well I'm glad we drafted a starting versatile player compared to just a starting RB.

Brown is a very humble kid, so he had no problem allowing Caddy to take most of the carries, but he also has a competitive streak in him, and I am sure proud, that tells him he was not given most of the work at RB, to him that is not a starter, does not mean he is a backup, he just did not play at the position he wanted to as much as he wanted.....he hopes to change that in the NFL.

you can when it's two different positions. Brown can start at FB and still be a backup RB to Caddy.

Randel El is a starting WR for the Steelers. and he is also listed as a backup QB.

Who cares who started and who was the backup? Coaches start whoever 'needs' to start in order to get the most production out of the most players. I know this is a different sport, but Marvin Williams at UNC was a backup this year, but he's probably going to be the #2 pick in the NBA draft. Starting means very little, especially in college sports.

He never said he was not the starter. You asume it.......

When in fact I was wrong, it was not 6, but it was 7 times that Ronnie Brown started last year....

I wonder how come?

That aint being a backup. Thats being a starting FB that has hands and can block so much better that he put Caddy's arse on the bench in passing situations.......

Brown plays all three downs, and Caddy two yet Brown be backin him up.....

Whereba weba gomba goba toba dayba :D
