Merged: HEre we go again!!! KAtrina Go Away

Why not the play the game on SUNDAY???

I dont see why the game can't be delayed until Sunday so that some players won't blow out their knees slugging through the dirt infield at Dolphin's stadium....why doesn't Wayne get with the NFL and play it on Sunday afternoon?

That would make too much sense probably?? It is not like Tampa is going to be inconvenienced by staying in Miami an extra day. I don't get it.

After last year, you'd think they'd have come up with some type of contingency plan in the event these storms hit again. They must be looking at every option available. I don't see why they couldn't play the game on Sunday, as well.

The hatches are battened down...Wait...I'm talking about for Typhoon Mawar

https://metoc.npmoc.navy.mil/jtwc/warnings/wp1105.gif

that's raining on me right now and through tomorrow.

Seems like everywhere I go I run into typhoons, hurricanes, earthquakes, and volcanoes.

Hope every gets through the storm there fine. We should be okay here. The mountains nearby tend to sap the strength of most of the typhoons before they get to me, although as soon as I start bragging on that I know we'll get slammed. I think we're expecting 50 to 80 knot winds tonight and tomorrow.

We should be fine for Saturday night, and Im hoping they're being smart about it and are covering the field.

Maybe it is time for Huizenga to put a roof over the field???

How are the Miami people faring right now??

I'm pretty much 7 or 10 miles inland of where the eye is hitting. It's getting pretty windy around here, but the worst is yet to come. We've got our power lines underground where I'm at, so I still have power. I'm not sure about the rest of South Florida though. I've made it through 4 years of canes at this house and have yet to not have power. (I'm knocking on wood now) So far... we only have small branches down in my yard, I got my fingers crossed. Were doing pretty good overall though, and ready for the game. :)

So far I am right in the path of Katrina, as well as Dolphins Stadium... 50 MPH wind gust outside... Katrina is right by Dade-Broward coast line...

Hope we do OK

Thanks for your kind thoughts...
