MERGED: Jason Taylor returning to the Dolphins for third stint

Can someone explain to me why Taylor is viewed as classless for signing with the Jets after being released by the Dolphins, yet the same fans want Braylon Edwards, a Jet free agent, to sign with Miami?

Did Braylon Edwards express for year an intense hatred of the Dolphins, and then decline a contract extension with the Jets because he wanted to hold out for more $$ (which he's already made a boat load of in his career) and the option of (hypocritically) coming to Miami because there's really nice beaches.

I wish Finheaven went back a year so I can pull up the thread when JT signed with the Jets, there would be a lot of double talkers in here. I think it's a good signing.

I was one of the first to call Jason a traitor. I threw away my JT jersey for doing it.

Makes you look back on why you overreact to such things.

Because people take sports personally. Miami didn't want him, yet Miami fans still feel jilted. My 2 year daughter will pull a similar stunt. She doesn't want to play with her toy if her sister has played with it, but if her sister has a new toy, she wants it.

At least you can admit it...lol

It's just business, and if anything maybe we can get some good intel from JT.

Why are people pissed? Because they are holding some kind of ridiculous vendetta?
That just about sums it all up.

Boo Hoo.. JT went and played for another team you don't like. Get over it. It's a business and a job. Only the fans throw tantrums over this stuff.

Anyway, cool. He needs to finish his career where he started.

Good pickup for the team, still cant forgive him for leaving us to the Jets.

Sorry, JT.......smh

Nvm, F U JT! YOU TRAITOR!

Go Dance or something.

He didn't want Miami.

glad I didn't change my username

Even though your career has been like a long teenage crisis, I still welcome you back with wide open arms, I've always enjoyed watching his game

Wouldnt you play for the eternal rival out of revenge to say to your ex coach f. you i beat you?Id feel bad for the fans but if the jets are the only team that wants me and i still wana play id hate signing with them but i wanna keep playing.

It wouldn't shock me to see both Taylor and Columbo waived before the season starts. My feeling is these guys are just here to provide veteran leadership and smarts during the shortened training camp. Sort of like those defensive linemen we brought in last year. One was a guy from the Saints and the other had played with Nolan in Denver. Can't remember their names. But we waived both before the season started and went with the young guys.

Welcome back! Glad he is no longer a member of the Slytherin of the NFL. And maybe he'll have some Jets defensive secrets as well. He can still get a couple sacks this season. He had more sacks than every Miami player except Wake, and also led the Jets up until the final weeks. He can still be solid, just not an every down player. This should be his farewell season and our final link to the Marino years!

Not if I expressed my hatred of them for years.

And people turn it into this cut and dry thing, "Well JT had no other choice! He had to sign in NY! Or he would have had to retire!" - give me a break. I'm sure the Jets, who offered him a really nice deal, weren't the only team willing to give him an incentive laden contract for 1 year. But he couldn't resist NEW YORK, NEW YOOOOOOOOORK. TO BE A PART OF IT, NEW YORK!!!! Those are his only motives here. Money and exposure, not morality.
