MERGED: Jim Harbaugh/Dolphins 2015 Speculation

If we have a bad year I fully expect Ross to go aggressively after Harbaugh.

I hope this happens. I'd love to have Harbaugh here. 2 1st round picks is fair. NFL is a coaches league.

so one stupid story about a Harbaugh trade comes out and automatically the dolphins should trade for him? Coaches decide where they wanna coach if offered a job so why give up assets for a guy you can get when he doesn't return to SF if that would even happen which i highly doubt.

lol...NFL is a ________ (enter cliché here). Lets see, its now a coaches league, during the season it was a passing league, QB driven league, basically anything someone wants to say when the team isn't performing well.

The 49'rs would be crazy to let him go.....although I think he is a handful to deal with.

Ross isn't expecting Philbin to fail.....so I seriously doubt this is a consideration at this point.

Been saying this for years. NFL has been and will always be a coaches league.

Ross will be shot down again as Harbaughs will use him like Fisher. He will be the laughing stock of owners for a long long time.

So nothing changes then.

I'm really not so sure anymore. It seems like many in the org don't like him, even if he is a good coach. They may prefer the guy bringing in the talent over the coach, and figure that another coach could get similar results with the talent on the team

I read the same thing but can't recall where. In fact, the article stated that Stanford was not sorry to see him go.

Can't trade for a coach. It's a tricky scenario where a team can give a team compensation for basically buying out that coaches contract. The coach is then free to sign with another team...if Harbaugh doesn't want to come to Miami...you can't force him.

What about Herm Edwards, the jest, & KC?

Also, Harbaugh allegedly did not want to go to Cleveland.

Is there anything about the way Ross has run the Dolphins that would lead you to believe that he has ever thought this far ahead when it comes to the Dolphins?

I'm hearing Cleveland offered him in excess of 10 mil per year and two very high draft pics. That's a steep price for a coach and with his arrogance I would say he would clean house sans Ross of course.
