MERGED: Schefter and Mort: Miami will be in mix for Manning

I LOVE the idea of going after Manning. GO WIN OR AT LEAST TRY TO WIN A SUPER BOWL!

Give me manning then draft Kendall wright in the 1st and tannehill in the 2nd. Let tannehill sit for three years and develope.... Remember he payer for Sherman at A&M and I believe there was a report in the past that said the dolphins were high on him.

Bad idea. I would rather he goes to the Jets, they waste lots of cap room on him, and it gets them nowhere, just like Favre.

If Peyton Manning is 100% healthy, and that is a big IF, I am very much on board of bringing him to Miami. This team has some solid veteran players on offense like Marshall and Bush that the addition of Manning could produce immediate offensive success. Plus Manning would have a solid defense that really wasn't a strength for him in Indianapolis. However, Manning may never play again, so it really depends on how he progresses between now and March.

If not Manning, I would definitely look into the Matt Flynn possibility.

Lol ur on the money with all ur posts man. Ur always sayin the **** I'm thinking. Haha

idk i always kinda thought manning was kind of a choke artist. and now he is old, if the colts let him u'd have to think he is not 100%

Irsay has already said he will make the call whether or not Peyton will or will not suit up for the Colts again. Though unlikely, if Irsay says no it would be nice for other teams to follows his lead.

if manning turns out to be healthy , how is this a bad idea? for those that claim manning is done and will never play again, can you please provide proof ? and for those who claim that they had the same surgery and still have weakness in there arms, please don't tell me that you people think that the average person can afford the same level of intense therapy and rehab that a pro athlete can get.
man i wonder what some people are thinking on this board. i sometimes wonder if people come on here just to argue with each other.
sorry but in my opinion a healthy manning is a better option than any other qb available (in my opinion) and comparing manning to that diva favre. LMFAO!

P. Manning at 75% would probably be better than all but maybe seven or eight QB's in the NFL. Hopefully we can bring him in or Flynn.

Peyton Manning might never be healthy again, but he will never play for that awful Colts team again.

i don't know where the flynn is schaub stuff comes from...makes no sense to me...flynn is much more mobile than matt schaub...much more

They are refering to sucess.

I would rather pass on Manning. He is old, has a medical problem that won't go away forever, and will cost a king's ransom after what the Raiders paid for Palmer.

This is a dangerous avenue we're about to turn on. I hope if he is available we get outbid. I know Manning is a great QB and he's a big name but that neck is trouble and one blindside hit could knock him out for good or worse. I hope it doesn't lead to paralysis.

Forget one blindside hit...he could simply re-injure himself with a strong throw...thats how fragile the neck is going to be, its going to definetley affect the way he throws the ball now...and one year out of football doesn't help

Schefter was the first to break the news on Philbin and I actually like him...........now Mort is another story.

Yeah but he has hit a brick wall (for whatever reason) when he moved from NFLN to ESPN..
