and RGM has been cut by two NFL teams in two seasons. He has yet to even make the roster of a practice squad, let alone the roster of a team.
Look, RGM is a beast. I followed him, Bess, CJ Hawthorne, and Jason Rivers all the time when they were at Hawaii. The problem is that RGM has yet to even see the game speed of the NFL and you guys think he is basically a lock to make the team. You can't say its not looking good for Turner while basically saying RGM has a spot on this team.
To the naked eye, this weekend’s rookie mini-camp for the Miami Dolphins might have felt like the team had traveled back in time two years when it came to watching No. 17 run pass patterns and compete in wide receiver drills. But that is why the coaches at the NFL level get paid as much as they do, because they see things in an entirely different light.
Ryan Grice-Mullen was the player running around with that number on his practice jersey, and with his helmet hiding his face he looked like a carbon copy of last year’s leading receiver for the Dolphins, Davone Bess, all the way down to the gold-highlighted dreadlocks. He is similar in size (5-foot-10, 180 pounds with Bess at 5-10, 190) and demeanor, which isn’t that strange when you consider the two were teammates in college at the University of Hawaii and Grice-Mullen described Bess as “like my brother.”
As a tandem at Hawaii, Bess and Grice-Mullen wreaked havoc on opposing defensive backs from the moment they arrived on campus as freshmen in 2005 as they became the first pair of receivers in school history to each surpass 1,000 receiving yards in the same season. So Dolphins Head Coach Tony Sparano can understand why a natural comparison is drawn between the two, especially since Bess was an undrafted free agent in 2008 who earned a spot on the roster thanks to his reliable ball-handling skills, but they are not twins.
Are you done with your anti-RGM campaign? My hopes of RGM making the team are not based on just his CFL work, they are based on what I saw from him in college. The kid has speed, he is able to shed DB and when the ball is in his hands he looks like running back. He has no respect for his body, that is based on all the diving, twisting and leaping catches I have seen him make over the years.
As for me not watching the CFL I actually try to catch several games a year. You are talking to a guy who watches pee wee, NCAA football, Arena, CFL & NFL. RGM might not have the best stats in Canada, but put tape on the guy and you will see he is good player. If you just don't like and are bitter for Miami trading the ball less one, then I cannot help you.

He did have a hamstring injury. Bess went undrafted too as a similar receiver. Should have stayed one more season.
I can understand why Bess went undrafted, since he ran a 4.64 in the 40. A small WR who runs a 4.64 in the 40 won't be drafted.
Also factor who the Dreads lined up against- even ol June Jones split after the Georgia beat down - the Rainbows don"t face the tpo tier competition and when they do...
Not dogging RGM. I hope he is all that. It's just I'm not building a shrine to him or etching his locker nameplate until he proves himself against NFL players in a game situation. That he has not yet done for us. None of our rooks have.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z-zNzpwKxEA I wonder if this wr is out there. He reminds me of Wes Welker.Out of texas tech too.
