To those who think Daunte is nothing without Randy Moss

I keep hearing Dante Did nothing without Moss, and he was only good because of Moss. Well What did Moss do this year without Dante? Are you going to tell me they are both overrated?

Not to mention in Culpeppers best year Moss only had about 700 recieving yards and 48 receptions

Most people fail to realize he had a bad knee going into the season, although it had nothing to do with the injury he had later

Like I said in the other thread.....

Moss made George, Cunningham and Frerotte look like Pro Bowlers.

If you wanna take away Moss's season when he was playing with a bum Hammy ALL season then in now way can u even bring up Daunte's bad knee.

Just out of curiousity.

Moss made 4 QB'S look like Pro Bowlers.

Who has Daunte made look like a pro Bowler? Burleson? That is debatable.

alex 22, how do people say this guy is overrated? He went form being to 3 to overrated?

As soon as he shows something significant without Moss I will always consider him overrated. I saw the kid play at UCF.

Randall Cunningham had Chris Carter too and was not a bad QB. George had Carter as well and you can't say they looked like Pro Bowlers. I don't care how good Randy Moss is, one player can't make a QB have the type of year Culpepper had two years ago. Any other year and he is MVP. You don't get a QB of Culpepper's caliber for a 2nd round pick plain and simple. Plus there is a reason he was drafted so high. His success is not a fluke and not a result of one player.

But apparently you missed his last year with Moss when Moss did next to nothing and Culpepper put up MVP type stats

Heck why dont I just say this

As soon as Peyton Manning does something without Harrison I will think he is good, at Tennesse he could never beat Florida the guy sucks

No-one will ever say that, and no-one should trash talk Daunte

Don't even get me started on this. I have supported Culpepper 100% and those that think he is overrated, don't have a clue. Every player has a bad year, last year it was Culpepper's. Bad coach, new/bad offense, never a consistent RB or WRs, injured knee, loss of Matt Birk, other linman suck except Bryant McKinnie. I could go on and on.........

So you saw him play when you were like 8 or 9 years old huh and can make a good judgement from that time in your life?? Wow!!

You may be right. Only time will tell.

My problem is not Daunte himself. Do I think he is overrated? Very much so!!! But even still you can't deny some of the stuff he has done.

My problem is plain and simple.

We are talking about a player who's main strength was using his athleticism to make plays.

We have no clue if he will be able to do that anymore. He very badly messed up his knee.

I am sorry, I think it would be very stupid to spend a 2nd rounder on this guy right now!!!

He isnt like Vick... his game doesnt revolve around his running ability... he is a pass first QB that only ran when things broke down...

And if McGahee can come back and be able to play running back... Culpepper can come back and play QB where you dont need to rely on your knee NEAR as much as you do as a RB...
