Merged8X: Corey Simon/so do we go after?/Corey Simon UFA

Corey Simon would be nice addition, however, do we really want another D-Lineman??? if we ever signed Simon (Not saying we are), how many lineman would we go into the season with??? It's not necessary, apart from the fact that he's going to want big money.

sure it would be nice to sign the guy, but he turned down the 5.whatever million 1 yerar offer from Phili. They needed him to sign that JUST to be able to offer a longterm deal. Phili also had a trade with Balt. for a 2nd and a 3rd round pick but even Balt couldn't reach an agreement on a contract...I think Simon's head's up is you know what.

Someone will come up with the money...teams ALWAYS are able to find salary cap room when they truely want a player...it happens every year. That said, I'll be suprise if he gets the 5.whatever million for this season that he could have had. He'll get a few mill. but not that much and it'll be a contract that baloons in the following years where he STILL has to restructer to a lower #. I think he blew his best chance at a HIGH longterm deal with Phili. ....but he'll still get paid by someone...I just don't think it'll be us.

Corey Simon type talent for O line?

This most likley wont happen. But does anyone know of an O lineman in the same type situation as Simon? I would love to see us sign Simon, but as CK said, its nice to dream.

If it was an Offensive Lineman of equal talent to Simon, could the Miami numbers crunchers somehow get it done? I don't know of any, but would love to see a good center being released.

Eagles are a No Non Sense team, WOW.

People don't realize this about the Eagles. They hold their line better than ANY team in the NFL. T.O. was never getting his contract restructured. If the Eagles came to him to initiate it, that would be one thing. The way T.O. initiated it, meant they weren't going to budge. They would rather lose all their games than buy into the games that players try.

Corey Simon is an OBVIOUS starter.....all we gotta do is release Keith Traylor, Vonnie Holliday, Jeff Zgonina.....and that should make room for Corey Simon. Keith and Vonnie are old and probably wont do much for us besides stuff the run (traylor)...but Corey Simon will certainly add a brick wall to our d-line

I say cut Feeley,Thompson,Howard, and James and we could pick up Simon. I understand the cap and its penalties are much more complicated than my scenario but it would be nice.

Simon's inconsistent play has been highlighted on NFL Network..

And based on the video it appeared evident. However, he can be a force, but I doubt very seriously that Miami would pursue this guy. Anyone know anything about David Bergeron, a 7th rd lb from Stanford released by Philly? Might be an interesting pick. Hannibal Navies might be appealing to the Dolphins due to his size. I like Pope and would like to see him make the squad however.

I would love to have him here, but since cash runs the NFL this signing wont happen.
