NBA FINALS THREAD: Miami Heat vs. Dallas Mavericks

I am rooting for the Heat, but I have this feeling that the Mavs are going to win the Series....mainly because of Dirk....he can score from everywhere, and Shaq cannot stay with him. I think the Heat better slow the game down and get really physical....they don't want to play fast break basketball with the Mavs. Looking forward to Game One tonight.

SHAQ won't be on him...

SHAQ has to contend with the mad scoring skills of Dampier and Diop.

I just don't like the way the Heat match up with the Mavs....they beat the Pistons because they were playing a physical team more than a high scoring team. Riley needs to pound the ball into Shaq down low, and Wade needs to drive the lane, shoot about 15+ FT's, get guys into foul problems. Dampier and Diop are underated. :wink:
 
Biggest Miami Liability in this series is Jason Williams

He isnt a good defender, if he has to try and guard Terry all game its over

I agree...terry is way to quick for jwill also, and way too good of a ball handler and shooter to be let wide open. Terry is the key to this series imo for the mavericks

Its because of this... I think GP will get more minutes than he has previously.

At the same time, J-Will will blow by Terry/Harris when on offense as well...

GP has been getting a LOT of minutes throughout the playoffs due to just that

Williams would foul Billups on a fadeaway...you cant do that, Payton isnt as fast but is a FAR FAR FAR better defender than Williams will ever be probally
